Hi all,

Okay, so I know that you can have NPCs speak in cutscenes by using the Speak Line function, but can you also use the cutscene editor to include the player's dialogue choices, or do you have to deal with those by messing with cinematics in the conversation file?

Thanks in advance!

Well cutscenes are in essence a totally separate thing than regular conversations. You as the module maker are taking control of everything so the player cannot choose anything 'in cutscene'. so if you want player choice then you have to leave the cutscene, go back in game have a normal conversation and then go back into a cutscene if that is your general idea.

Ah, thanks. That's pretty much it. I need the cutscene to play, and then the player is given their dialogue choices, but I need everyone to be in the same position they were in at the end of the cutscene, so that it appears seamless. And then it would potentially lead back in to another cutscene. So it appears I will, indeed, have to work with stages/cinematics in the conversation editor.

By the way, your animation list is really helpful!

Hmmm, now I'm having another issue. I'm working with the cinematics in the conversation editor. I set up a stage and everything was going well. Then I decided to change the position of my stage places, but when I use Preview Line it still shows them in the original place. I've tried re-saving and re-exporting the stage, deleting and replacing the actor/place I moved, switching the conversation to a different stage, then back, and closing and reopening the conversation. I can't seem to get it to update the stage positions.

Am I missing something obvious?
