Best wishes to you on your project. Maybe you can splash a few details of the features of this new PW here to further entice players?

Be well. Game on.

ok then its using the gigaschatten system but dont leave just yet, i have modified it to my own specifications added a writing system so my players can write books letters and such. the gigas chatten system has player houses, shops, language and much much more. i am in the process of creating a pet system, and the server requires absolutly no haks what so ever.

its based on an old sever i created called argonalith but i moved and it didnt last but now im back in the uk and hoping to start it up again. its based on an island called argonalith (shock horror) lol. it has a fearun feeling to it and the diety system uses fearun dieties. and the crafting system is very medieval in that different metals are used and such... its a see it to understand it module.

Just a suggestion : Make a web page for it and put the link in your sig. I have found most ppl won't go see something unless they are motivated by features and such - so even if a world is really really stellar, it can be empty of players; tease them in with maybe a web page or pdf that gives some details, screen captures and other highlights and you'll find them slowly trickling in. If the world is really good, they will accumulate.

Best of luck to you.

yea thats a good idea, i did that with my original argonalith and it also had its own forums running, so the player base could keep incontact.

People shouldn't have to pull teeth to get information about your creation (like this thread is feeling).

99% of people who might be interested just won't bother unless it's all right in front of them without a hassle.

*nods* if you do it well, the search engines will help send you more players too - be sure to use as many of the proper keywords as you can, and tell ALL. As a fellow builder, I cannot stress that too much. Many of us know our module so well we omit details others would to "wow, that's cool!" over.

The thing to do is to try to forget everything you know about your module, the write from that perspective. Very hard to do but I'm sure you'll work it out. Also, it helps much to have those who know NOTHING about nwn read your text to see if they understand what you are writing. If not, simplify the text even more on the next draft.

I like to use a writing style that is close to 'ad copy' when I do this, punch up the features with powerful verbiage. :D

Best of luck!

Also, to point out the obvious (I guess to a techie) - your IP is pretty obviously an internal network ip (192.168.). For anyone outside your local network to connect you'll need to provide the external IP and properly configure your firewall.
