I like your elf. What's the armour she is in?

it's called the underworld armor for rogues, IMO the best looking rogue armor ever created.

http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1533 for the main armor file

and then

http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1564 for the retex.

I'm rather fond of my herd of elves.  Admittedly, I am using mods, but aside from hairstyle, my current avi was made using all standard options.  If you want more options for character creation on the PC, I suggest Facial Features all-in-one Pack:  includes Bidelles Makeup Studio, CC Extra Tints and Tones, Chargen Package, Dr. DJ Bandit Emporium, Gizmodian Facework, More Hairstyles, Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors, Planes Traveller Appearance Package, Tatouages/Facial Tattoos, Tribal Hair, Nero Hair, Got my hair - on my face, pack of face tattoos, Wolf pack of scalp tattoos - complete, PAngel Eyes, FDB Skins, Dracomies True Textures (included in Dragon Age Redesigned), Tucked Hair (and optional hairstyle with earrings) found here

Is this something I just install and use from the in-game character creation screen, or something I'd have to use from within the Toolset?

Also, does anyone else's browser security hate MediaFlare?

Alright, doing my own research.. I found the mods "elf ears" and "chargen package". what I like about chargen package is the scars... elf ears does a good job at giving you proper length ears. thanks for nothing guys. jk.

Oh my! I made one I actually liked, in the game. Thoughts please :D.

He looks like a child of Zevvie and Alistair now that I think about it :'D.

If you like it don't let your opinion get spoiled by those of others.

Just a... tip.

Was just looking for some tips to make him look even better, but I guess I'll roll with this fella once I restart.

Well I couldn't make a single good looking elf before the mods came out, so I can't blame anyone. I'd advise using the toolset, my elves improved a lot after I started using the toolset. Here goes some of my babies made using the toolset:

All righty. That last image I made (the clown faced one) was a joke.

My suggestion.

Get on the "Character Showoff" forum asap, as the people there will give you great feedback on how to improve your designs.

Move towards the Toolset. What makes it difficult is that the default elf texture has a gaunt-like appearance and it's mostly due to the shading of the texture. You need to download mods which trick the system.

Here are elves I've made. I created my own textures for these as it's practically impossible to make a good elf with the original settings.

please release the save/texture for this one! or whatever i need to get it in game.

Okay here my Dalish gang containing two members.:D Please bear in mind that I have no mods or toolset for the finer details, due to being a poor console player. Despite that I'm really content with the outcome. Pics are taken from my TV so they are rather crappy in quality.

This is Alonis:

And my canon char Lenya:

Not so perfect like the (tweaked) PC versions possible would be, but I like them very much <3

Yeah I always pick the City Elf Origin, but it's hard to make the Elf look "human", I just gave up and created an older looking Elf (my avatar).

You know, most of the mods don't seem to come with any kind of help, FAQ, or readme file. Even a link to how to install the mod package used for many of the examples on thise thread would be nice...

I gave up on the elves with the original character creator, they all came out horribly anorexic. Makes me wonder why zevran mentions elves are being picked for the crows because they look beautiful to humans, because frankly they're ugly as hell in vanilla DAO. I also strongly dislike the starched hair.

So for elves and better looking npc's I use a combination of several mods:
- Tucked Hair (http://social.biowar...m/project/2595/)
And from http://www.dragonagenexus.com/ :
- Dragon Age Redesigned 7.3 (really should use this one if you decide to replay DA, it looks so much better)
- LOTC's Character Creator Eyelashes
- More Hairstyles 0.51
- Pretty Faces 2.5
- PT's Vibrant Colors 1.31
I've tried many other mods but these I keep coming back to.

Most of them you can install by simply dropping the files in your override directory (somewhere deep in your documents/bioware folder). You can make the mods play nice together by merging the chargenmorphcfg.xml files using CharGenMorph Compiler v103. It morphs all your different files into one single file.

I'd show a screenshot of my dalish elf but it's on my laptop which I don't have at home right now. My elf looks a lot like Heather Locklear though.

What I really wonder about is why so many people here are able to make lovely elves with the toolset yet vanilla dragon age came with those horrible presets and NPC's. What's up with that? Perhaps bioware should hire some of the talent on these forums instead.

Well it seems everyone has a different idea of what an awesome face is.

But I think we can conclude that it is possible to make an awesome elven face, judging by all the pics on here.

Are they placed in the override folder as they are organized in the download, or as just the files all in the folder bare?

Got it figured out.

Now I just need to figure out which mod makes the characters look like they're wearing 3 hookers worth of mascara, and get rid of it.
