or each mission is to help a different race and in the end unites a galaxy to have one galactic battle to beat the reapers.

That's kind of how I  vision it too.  Instead of recruiting squad members, we rally entire races and their fleets.  Not just Council space races but the Terminus as well.  Even pirates, terrorists and merc groups got to wise enough to throw in with this fight.

This.

Whereas in ME2 we were building our team, I suspect in ME3 we will be building the strategic team, doing war related missions for empires rather than for individuals. Meanwhile there will be a central thread bringing us closer to some sort of commando mission to cut the Reapers off from the Galaxy. Since this is the final chapter in the trilogy and knowing that other bioware titles have had dark endings, I wouldn't be too surprised if this one really was a suicide mission, or at least one way only, but still hope for there to be an option of a happy ending for Shepard.

I really hope that ME3 will end with an epic space battle in combination with a commando mission. Like ME1 ended.

But I'm pretty sure Shepard will have to seek aid from Chuck Norris in order to defeat the Reapers.

I read that Bioware are thinking of making more.
I agree about the recruiting races thing. I though that when I let the Rachni Live in ME1 and helped the Geth in ME2.

They are going to make more Mass Effect games, yes, but none will be about Shepard. He/she is the protagonist of the ME Trilogy. More ME games will probably be RTSes, FPSes or more RPGs but in different time periods and about entirely different people.

If I would have to come up with a strategy to fight reapers, I'dd invest heavily in frigates armed with Thanix (or similar) weapons. Reapers are large, dreadnoughts and frigate flotilla's are the best countermeasure to that. If you could muster enough frigates with powerful weapons you could overpower individual reapers. Since they have no smaller assault craft or fighters. (Those seen with sovereign are geth ships) plus frigates don't have a large crew, so losses should be limited.

Again with this. We have seen a total of 3 reapers, one of which was dead and one of which was 'larval'.

Other than that we have seen an image of their fleet with no scale references. Why does everyone keep assuming  such easy answers as 'obvious' flaws?

I didn't say it would be easy. Reapers would probably outnumber any force organics can assemble. But I remain pretty sure they don't have fighters. (If they did sovereign would have launched them during the battle for the citadel) I'm just giving a possible strategy for countering large vessels with smaller ones. But your right about the scale reference, there's no way to know what size they are. I just assumed (since both sovereign and the dead reaper are Dreadnought size ships) they all were.

I'dd also like to add something about the reaper strategy. From what I've learned during the two mass effect games, reapers use the network of mass relays to cut off their enemies forces and worlds. Divide and conquer if you will. Then they go around blasting every world one by one. Since their enemies no longer have a central command structure (the citadel, base of all goverment, has been purged) there should be no real oposition. When you think about it, this strategy does not require overwhelming numbers and advanced combat strategies. Just visit every planet on the record and blow the crap out of it or abduct the people and indoctrinate them. For hiden worlds you use indoctrinated sleeper agents like vigil described. Should any ship try to make a stand, like with fleet construction yards (higher concentration of military craft) superior tecnology should do it since the enemy has no chance of reinforcements.

What Bbqbe said about Reaper strategy...

Therefore:

1. Defend the Citadel at all costs... to retain the ability to move about the galaxy with your fleet.

2. Kill the Reapers one by one.... Moving your combined fleets at will. Shepard and Company infiltrate and take over a Reaper, steal all the tech data... then use their "hacked" Reaper to lure each reaper to a "weak" system and ..... and ... uh, I'm wrong, Sorry. Reapers kill everyone in the Galaxy no matter what Shepard does.... Superhero to Super Zero.
