I think so. I haven't played Awakening for a while, since april.

Dworkin Glavonak is the brother of Voldrik
and is considered by most, including his bother to be insane leading
him to be called several different names by character such as "Dworkin
the mad", "Dworkin the explosives dwarf" and "Mad exploding short
person" by Sergeant Maverlies. Dworkin is obsessed with his work which resulted in the death of four of his apprentices and another smith.

From the DA Wiki.

I think we found our crazy dwarf.

Yes, I remember him. Now I'm wondering how come he hasn't created nug bombs yet? Maybe he needed an enchanter or a mage to put a permanent mind-control spell on the nugs? Look it's a brilliant idea! Maybe he'll even become a paragon? After all they made dwarf who discovered nugs to be edible a paragon, I think nug-bomb inventor deserves just as much.

And it totally fits dwarf mentality. Golems are pretty much sacrificed dwarfs and considering Amgarrok  the idea of suicide bombers seems fitting. As for using nugs instead of castless... Nobody expect a nug to be a threat. Even Loghain would have probably allowed the rodent to come close and drastically change the plot.

Don't know if this has come up or not, but on a similar note, in the RTS Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption, you could use exploding Ewoks. Very impractical, but hilarious.

Yup, he should. Paragon is just dwarfish for Mad Scientists anyway.
Now I want to be a dwarf. damn. :o

Mad? She was slightly mentally unstable at best. She didn't even invented anything gross. Smokeless fuel? Come on!
Now Anvil of the Void counts as a mad scientist invention, and so do nug bombs. Nug Bomb paragon FTW!

All of them, Starvation will get every darkspawn lucky enough not to die a horrible explosive death.

Hollywood biology ?
All right, then every darkspawn will die a horrible explosive death from the infectious walking bomb spell cast on the nugbombs.

It just bugs me so, why can't mages just cast the infectious walking bomb on one darkspawn then send him back under mind control :o

Either way, dwarves made a strong comeback with golems, I don't see why they can't make another one with nugbombs.

Well the golems are just one possible ending.

I suppose in DA2 you can make the choice as to whether or not the dwarfs use the nug bombs.

I think they can if they are a blood mage.
Although I am unsure.

After seeing the poll....

So about 8 hours has gone by....

The no answer is popular enough to make me think that adding a optional quest to save the nugs from the crazy dwarf explosives expert may be needed.

I propose the quest line goes like this:

1.Talk to the dwarf and acquire nugs.

2.Talk to the dwarf and deliver a package then return with a package.

3.After you return and talk to the dwarf you can choose to help train the nugs to be nug bombs OR save them.

Could you give me your opinion about Nug Bombs, Mr. Peter?

Also,

Will there be different races for companions apart from elves and dwarves?

Thanks in advance {smilie}

Both are plot/story related questions that I can't comment on.

Nug Bombs are plot/story related?

{smilie}

Now I don't know what to think. But if they are indeed, then I'll be happy. Thanks Mr. Peter.

Yeah, I thought about it too.
Also, reactions from the companions. It would be nice. So, Nug lovers can save the Nugs.
And Nug Bombers can make 'em EXPLODE.

I dunno. But surely it won't take a month or a million dollars.

I'm wondering if there's something cooking in Bioware's kitchen, as Mr. Peter Thomas said that the Nug Bombs are "plot/story" related. Or was he referring to Nugs in general?

Hard to know.

Still, we haven't got an answer yet, and I'm sure that they have read our thread.

I haven't read through all of these Nug Bomb threads so don't know if it has already been pointed out ( it probably has ) but historically, using pigs in warfare to terrorise the enemy is a fact.

Though squealing nug pigs would have only been used against war elephants. None of those have appeared in DA but perhaps squealing nugs terrify ogres ?

Flaming pigs or 'Fire Pigs'  ( oil poured on a herd of pigs, then set alight ) sent out into the rank of enemy war elephants is a historical reference the accuracy of which is far more doubtful

Bacon it is then
