So at GamesCom, everything except for the Male Warrior was locked, so I suspect that at PAX, the Female Warrior will be availlable aswell. Maybe even some options in the character creation will be availlable aswell (showing new hair options perhaps?)

I think this actually refers to the Rogue being playable at PAX. Biofeed Twitter: "Did I mention first gameplay exclusive, play as a Rogue class in Dragon Age 2 demo? PAX world exclusive!"Systemlord Baal wrote...

Maybe the rogue unlock will be a FemHawke? I think I remembered the describtion of the character select screen being 3 male hawkes and 3 female 1 of each class, but I may be misrembering that.

lady hawke and gameplay footage in that order *crosses fingers*.
Gameplay footage with Lady Hawke would be better.

No, you remember correctly. It would be very cool if the demo allowed to play with LadyHawke.makenzieshepard wrote...

Oh I didn't know about that as I don't use Twitter. You're probably right, then...hm, I'm wondering - Female Rogue?swirlwind wrote...

I'm a Male player myself btw. I just think that the FemHawke players should get to see the default version of their character

so hopefully, SWTOR will announce they've decided to axe companion characters.
As for DA2, I don't expect to see much. I'd like to see at least 30 seconds of gameplay, some magic and rogue combat. And maybe a very brief demonstration of the new dialog wheel.

That would actually kill SW:TOR for me. The only reason I'm even considering playing it is because you're supposed to be able to solo it and have meaningful interaction with the companion characters. If this turns out not to be true, I have no reason to even give it a try.scyphozoa wrote...

Same. I have no desire to get SW:TOR if I can't solo or have companion characters. My brother doesn't understand why I want to solo, but honestly the social aspect of MMOs is the number one deterrent for me. Maybe number two behind monthly cost.
On topic, I want to see Lady Hawke! And whatever else they have to show us.

I consider companions to be a brilliant addition to PVE and story play. In competitive game modes, I consider AI controlled companions with Random Number generating to be the antithesis to competition. So that would be MMO-ruining for me. I fear SWTOR is trying too hard to be both a single player game and an MMO.
I think they've backed way off of the whole companion moral compass thing. Or at least it hasnt been a focal point for some time now. Personally i'm also of the mind that it will be a bad mash-up of single player RPG with MMO elements. The only thing i was really intrigued about was the group conversation system. That was actually something i felt was entirely unique and cool. Even if it is open for abuse. Everything outside of that, the companion, and space combat reeks of WoW clone.

I'm anxious to see some gameplay. And Lady Hawke. And Varric. And maybe Ponytail (ok, maybe some reference to her at least?).
Anything else is just icing on the cake or extra gravy.

There's a lot of TOR talk in this thread..

Unfortunately, the TOR forums can't contain the amount of whining/complaining that goes on there, so it's spilling over here apparently! People there complain when they get things they say they want, AND they complain about totally optional features (and pretty much everything else about the game). If you want an example of what happens in those forums, here's one (I've witnessed it for myself): people there said they wanted to see more playable races, then one day BioWare announced several of the new races...and then the forumites there immediately started threads complaining they haven't seen enough non-near-human races and weren't happy about the current choices (even though all races have not been revealed yet). *rolleyes*
Anyhow, on to the fun topic of DA2 itself: I reeeeeally hope they do release a list of the VAs and/or that one of our fellow forumites who does attend PAX recognizes m. Hawke's voice. Since m. Hawke is supposed to be voice by the same VA who also voiced an "unpopular" DA:O character, I'm really curious to find out who it is! Edit: forgot to add that speculation in the thread about m. Hawke's VA seems to lean heavily towards it being either Vaughan's or Cailan's VA (Vaughan was certainly someone everyone hated as far as I know).
*** Minor edits to correct Vaughn to Vaughan (as a book designer, yes, I'm OCD about ispelling errors or factual inaccuracies
