Apparently I lost my NWN2 CD when I moved, and then I got a new computer. Now I want to play it again. I can find the CDs for the first two expansions, all the games are registered, and I have valid CD keys.
Someone told me that under these circumstances, it was possible to legally download the game for free from the site. I can't seem to find any information on this. Are they mistaken? Will I need to repurchase a CD if I can't find my original one?
Thanks
Lost CD, download available?

Pretty sure you'll need to buy a new copy.

No, you cannot legally download NWN 2 or expansions from anywhere except where legally sold. Anyplace else is an illegal distribution of copy-written materials.

Only other course is to get Atari to ship you a replacement CD, without that or a backup of what you had installed, you won't be able to actually install it. It is a bit too late for that as Atari is basically no longer even the games publisher ( nice little lawsuit there ) and you'd have to get it from a place like gog.com. If you want to blame someone, blame Atari.
Note that once you get it from gog.com, you get to keep it in your account. And if you get one of the sales ( 20 bucks for about a lot of D&D games was the sale this weekend ) you get a very good value. Even if not, the price of 5-10 bucks ( varies depending on the sale, normally about 10 ) includes all the expansions and a combined installer, no need to deal with patches, and also forces the powers that be to remember that NWN is still going strong.
