Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin would likely be grouped as classic rock now. As well as Metallica, to a lesser extent. This is the type of music I generally prefer (although I do have a somewhat eclectic taste).

Power metal, mostly Blind Guardian at the moment. Trailer/Movie/Orchestra music as well. Clint Mansell has a lot of good ones.
Did you play Sacred II?
I can't really say I have a favorite. It mostly depends on mood I suppose. I like anything that has intelligent creativity behind it. In my teen years I grew up with Stone Temple Pilots, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden and non-gangster rap. I like Metalica, Miles Davis, SRV, George Benson, Sam Bush, AC/DC, Allman Brothers Band, David Grisman, Gov't Mule, Beastie Boyz, Queen, Victor Wooten, Sugarhill Gang and somelater rap like that of Tupac.
I guess I lean more towards rock as a genre...

Hammerfall as well, I've been listening to the album "Threshold". Natural High, The Fire Burns Forever...and others, really good. My favorite band is Rhapsody of Fire

I don't like my sister because she like Rock Music, and she has no influence over me anymore
Listening to Chinese-Buddhist Music is Fantastic, but one Rock track after one hour of those traditional music will ****** your Soul off

You listen to pop music and you say this about Rock and Roll.....*facepalm* ...Unbelievable.
Anyway, I'm pretty eclectic. There is at least one band/artist in every (and i do mean EVERY) genre which I like. Most people I know tend associate me with Celtic Rock and Irish Punk though. That's the way it goes, I guess.

I agree with you, most of the times Rock = crappy singers but that are the "mainstream" rock groups, those are the band you hear on MTV and TMF and they suckAdriano87 wrote...

The Rock that I listen are more classic Rock like Iron Maiden, and in a way Metallica, I don't listen those Tokio Hotel, 30 Seconds to Mars, etc etc kind of Rock...
And there is a real difference between Rock and Symphonic Metal, mostly bands like Nightwish and Delain etc have female singers who actually can sing, like Tarja Turunen, Anette Olzen, Simone Simmons, Sharon van den Adel (who you probably don't know...), whos voices don't need to be enchanted by technology like most singers now
And I centainly hope you were comparing Rock with Pagan Folk... Pagan Folk are traditional Irish/Celtic/Helvetic instuments maybe combined with modern instruments like drums/electric guitar and those songs, even more so as symphonic metal/goth rock songs have meanings, stories behind them, things I still have to find in Pop songs and most Rock songs..
Aahh, someone with a good taste in music :happy:Khayness wrote...

My experience of life tells me that other 2/3 don't listen to Rock music willingly, they may like one or 2 singers in this genre, but I cant find many people who don't dislike this Music (between those who born between 1950 and 1990). in my family almost 2 % and between those who has been my class mates 10 % love Rock branches and most of people dislike this music.Khayness wrote...

A freak with another Freak with Electric Guitar with shameful style of singing ... this is not tolerable (is Annoying) to most of sane people.
that is what metal is (and what is similar to it) ...
those first singers and bands in 50's and 60's were more tolerable at all, but in late 60 and 70's it became worse.
