A few of my faves:
Corrupted, probably one of the best sludge/doom metal bands around.
Gallhammer, An all girl band that blends crust-punk and black-metal.
and Church of Misery, A great Doom/Stoner metal band.
Coincidently they're all from Japan. Posted Image

that is what metal is (and what is similar to it) ...

You need to broaden your knowledge on music, because there are many sorts of rock and there are many sorts of metal. Sure there is rock and metal where a bunch of freaks are yelling thing nobody can hear but there is also a little thing called Symphonic Metal, where most of the singers are female with beautiful and pure voices.
There are to many differences in the gerne to label it as bluntly as you, and most haters, do..

@Kimosabe0

Uuuuh, not every Symphonic metal band has to be female-only. Apocalyptica or Kamelot anyone?

As for the rest of your comment, I agree. Well, all I can say is that no matter what, the

No, I know, but a lot, if not most, bands have a lead female vocalist or have a 'Beauty and the Beast' style of vocals but you are absolutely right ofcourse

My favourite genre is probably Post-Ironic Beardcore, but I enjoy music from pretty much all genres.

Oh how silly you are... (here are some counter examples)

Disturbed - Darkness
Disturbed - Overburdened

I didn't have to, because I've heard them all before. Which is also how I know that none of them will ever convert anyone to the school of rock.

Whatever, to each his own. But they are all (except overburdened) rock songs w/o electric guitars, drums and a crappy singer.

All of them are crap 'Rock' [Rock : Bull****s + Madness] ... Rock soften your mind and makes you an Empty Minded Person.
and all of those Craps are Rock, there is not so much difference between the branches.
I don't like my sister because she like Rock Music, and she has no influence over me anymore B).

Listening to Chinese-Buddhist Music is Fantastic, but one Rock track after one hour of those traditional music will ****** your Soul off

Everyone has different tastes (thankfully), but I find it rather... ironic that you state rock 'softens your mind and makes you an Empty Minded Person' and in the next sentence you say you don't like your sister because she likes rock music? Is that really a rational basis for disliking someone, especially a family mamber?

Again, whatever someone likes as far as music goes is fine, but it's a huge mistake to paint everyone that likes something with the same brush.

As a rule of thumb, I like Extreme Metal at large. For a bit more precission, I love Death Metal in particular.
