I've been thinking about that. I thought the shopkeepers would get mad in the game but I'm sure they'll ask you to pick a side in ME3. I'll be sure to use the paragon option that has me nicely threatening to never shop at any of their stores.

an employee discount at the gift shop. Uh, I

don't know what the responses are at Rodam

because I let the Council die so the

shopkeeper isn't too happy with me to start

with. In that situation, the paragon route is good enough.

Are his responses different depending on your

Council choice? What does he say to you? I limit myself to endorsing Saronis and

Rodam. Saronis because Marab is such a fan

and so helpful and funny whether you Charm

or Indimidate him (slide rule, haha), and

Rodam because Etarn (at least in my saved-

the-council games) actually ducks behind his counter during his spiel and is far from being

upset that we "put down" his species' most

eminent representative in the Spectres.

They're both my "favorite" shops on the

Citadel!

Etarn is honestly one of my favorite characters in the game. The second he took cover behind the counter, I was thinking, 'Man I've never seen a clerk with some much personality in a game.' It broke my heart when I came back with my renegade file where he talks about how much he gates you and humans. heh

All the shopkeepers are going to make you choose which one is your real favorite. You'll get to keep your discount at that one store, but won't be able to shop at the others ever again.

Why would they when they all sell different things.

I've seen real life celebs endorse and advertise for various products and not disown the stuff they endorced previously.

It'd be one thing if Shep said this is his/her favorite store for two different gun shops but that's not the case.

Seriously, why didn't we get separate endorsements for each store? Touting the quality of the merchandise, little commercials that make it seem like some effort was put into it?

Well, I for one enjoyed watching the birth of an internet meme. Posted Image

Haha Imagine if you endorsed all of the stores, in M3 youll start the game with -100000 credits because of a lost lawsuit against all those angry storeowners :P

I want to go the renegade route on some of these stores but I only have the paragon option available to me. At what renegade level does the renegade option become available?

I give everyone the "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favorite store on the Citadel" endorsement. That includes the gift shop. I actually get my Spectre Re-instatement AFTER I visit all the shops and get discounts.

Plus, its funny for me to walk in to every store and hear that.

I laughed so hard hearing:

"HEY EVERYONE! This store discrimates against the poor!"

That makes playing Renegade worth it.

You guys think it will have penalties in ME3? I just see it as free paragon/ renegade points :P.

I'm a renegade jackass in game. I did the paragon endorsements though. Why? What better way to screw over a shop than to be associated with my ruthless name!

Don't the stores sell different merchandise? If they do, then the endorsement could still stand in some form.

I agree with this. Even the Rodham Expeditions guy gleefully exclaims "Aha! No other gun shop has this kind of endorsement!" And he is 100% correct.

In fact, at no point does Shepard say the endorsement is exclusive. The only questionable part of the whole affair is the word "favorite."

This as well; I want to know if it will have consequences in ME3.

I don't really see an issue with the endorsements. Each store has their own specialties. Medical interfaces, weapons, tech and souvenirs. The endorsement can be interpreted as an endorsement of that store type. Like it's okay to a sports player to endorse McDonalds but also able to endorse Nike.

The renegade persuade for Etarn if you let the council die is something along the lines of "Humans are the galaxy's best line of defense now, so sell me some cheap weapons". Paragon with saving the Destiny Ascension is "Give you a discount? I'd name my first born after you if you asked!"

Why can't you endorse all of them. They all sell different things. Its like saying Hi I love Ipods so buy Apple...and then go I love Sony TV's go Sony!

One guy is selling Guns ones selling Tech and ones selling other stuff etc. Why cant you endorse all. The gun guy is my favourite gun store and the guy is my favourite tech store etc.
