In that order. Examples of when this has happened... just after Duncan tells you to wander the camp and report to him. The game auto-saves, and normally a little loading box appears in the middle. Sometimes the phrase Loading... will appear in the bottom right instead.
Just hangs. At this point I have to ALT-F4 out of the game and reload. Pressing 'resume' then takes me to the point it crashed (as it had just auto-saved).
This is with patch 1.01 on Win 7 x64. Latest nVidia drivers for an MSI 8800 GTS (512mb). An Intel Q9300 (2.5ghz) quad-core with 4gb DDR1333 corsair ram. SATA2 (3gb) hardrives all around. OS/PageFile/Games all on individual SATA channels for performance aswell. And nope, the chip is not overheating neither is my vga card (neither are over 50 celsius), but I wouldn't suspect hardware anyway as this is isolated to DA:O.
A full memtest and a prime95 run through show 0 errors in the memory either.
However, does anyone else have this rather random problem? It doesn't always happen to me, one play it'll do it on one scene, another play and it won't. (I re-played the origins a few times to get the feel for mage spells
