The problem is resolved already, but I just wanted to report it and see if anyone else has experienced it.

The oddest glitch: I was just finishing the N7 mission in which you encounter infinitely spawning Husks and have to destroy the device that creates them to end the mission. When I did that, the game skipped the cinematic that normally occurs and jumped straight to the Illusive Man's end of mission screen. After that I was taken back to the Normandy, but my custom femShep had been replaced with the default femShep. I panicked a little and immediately loaded a save that was in the middle of the N7 mission, and everything was back to normal. I finished the mission again, and this time got the cinematic and my custom femShep was standing in front of the Galaxy Map as usual. 

I only wish I'd have checked the character sheet before loading to see if her name and stats had changed as well.
