of things no one else can see, so she can do what no one else can do!
It's a conspiracy, possible hearsay. DARK dealings. Whispers in the night. People talkin, be cheating and stealing mashing and bashing. Green things that are weak towards WATER

the shadow broker made a deal with the collectors for sheps body and in her attempt to rescue shep, her friend got trapped and now tortured. So she wants revenge and to help a guy which if the comics are anything to go by, a guy she met like a week ago
wait a min she wants to get revenge for some Drell dude she meet a week ago. you know I'm starting to think the whole Liara dlc is nothing but fan service. since the story of the dlc if what you say is true has no real impact on ME 2 to ME 3.

Yeah, try talking to her again. She tells you straight-up it's not just about that guy, it's also about what the broker tried to do to Shep (the entire reason she ever got involved in any of that stuff to begin with). How long she'd known the guy is irrelevant, because he still did what he did, and Shep and Liara both are only alive because of what he did. I.e., she feels like she owes the guy because, well, she owes the guy.
And try not to forget that the first action the SB took against her after she showed up on Omega was to have his people try to kill her. Plus, he really wasn't too happy about her screwing with his business and making a mess of one of his facilities (and a number of his employees to boot). One way or another, she was going to have to deal with the SB again.
Another thing that shouldn't be forgotten: once she'd turned over Shep's body, she really had no one and nothing. She wasn't Alliance, her mother was dead, Shep was dead and staying that way for the forseeable future, the rest of the Shepardfriends all had their own things to look after, and the question she'd spent most of her adult life trying to answer ("What really happened to the Protheans?") had been answered in quite spectacular fashion. But it was also an answer
that was very unwelcome in the galaxy-at-large and politically problematic.
It should be no surprise then that Liara latched onto this "Get the Broker" thing as a way to give herself some sort of purpose, and especially so given that her self-appointed task was connected to Shepard.

Maybe, thought I appreciate the attempt to tie in the comic book to the games. It makes me wonder weather they're going to do anything with with the novels.
In reguards to her caring so much about Feron, I wouldn't say it suprises me since he basically sacrificed himself so she could recover Shepard's body. So maybe a large part of what she's feeling is survivor's guilt?

Well, the DLC can't be too vital to connecting the two stories. You don't want people who opt to not buy the DLC to be too out of the loop.
