*cry*  Those are very sweet and tender kisses.  Be grateful I didn't link sexytimes I suppose.  Vanilla, Zevran has the best ones in the game (and they're all different too -- well, I think elf male and female are the same).

Really, they're pixels.  I don't find any of the kisses or sexy times in game particularly offensive or sexy.  I'm not sure why they would evoke THAT strong a response.

I actually prefer Morrigan's scene to Zevran's scenes.  That one where the PC holds her face and you get a shot of her eyes...OMG that's pure cinematic magic. 

*Edited cause I had to include a pic from Alistair's mod using Morrigan's scene*  This is one of my favorites from the scenes mostly for the lighting and the look in the eyes.  Its so rare to get any kind of expression at all on a PC and this was just gorgeous.

What about where Zevran holds the dwarf female's face and she just looks so in love?  Or where he cradles the elf's face and just has the most tender expression.  They're well done, though human female with Zevran isn't that great.

Second edit: I actually found it interesting that there are 5 different sexytimes for Zevran.  I mean, we ARE talking pixels, but I do think the level of detail there is interesting.  The facial expressions are nice.

I don't like the Zevran scenes because I really don't like him as a LI, that's probably my biggest complaint with them. As a friend he's fantastic. As a lover I get grossed out. It's the personality. It works for me as a goofy buddy but as someone who is supposed to be your love, it leaves me cold.

But that really has nothing to do with the romance (aside from how it relates to you obviously) or the sweetness of his love scenes.  Opinion is opinion, and I respect yours completely.  But me, I wish they all were done as well as Zevran's which, while you may not like them, are incredibly well done.  

His entire romance is well done, though.  All the romances are so well written.  No need to insult the scenes!  I'm posting those kiss links again  Because they ARE so sweet for people who like him!  Here and HERE!    And here's a completely modded human male kiss for good measure

QFT.  My HNF shut  him down so hard early on that he wasn't even an option later.

Rather unlike Alistair; CEF was starting to wonder if it would take a murder knife to the face to get him to back off.

I liked pairing my male human noble with leliana, then marrying anora. Feels like an alistair romance ending. She thinks its unfair having he, but so agrees to become your lover. Also my Warden clashed with both Lel and Morrigan, but Lel made my Warden happy. lol

Aww.    I think it would be nice to have a dwarf LI, but as ejoslin pointed out, Zevran has a very hot kneeling kiss with a dwarf PC, and the elf-dwarf height difference is not so great.  It's not out of the realm of what a short woman and a tall man IRL would look like.

Do you play on PC or console?  If on PC, there are some really sweet mods for Alistair's romance.  Not gross at all!  I think they're in the running for my favorite with the Alistair-elf.  And that is saying a LOT for me.

Unmodded, Zev is my hands down favorite, but with all the awesome mods for Alistair I have the worst time not romancing him. I usually start with Ali and then end with Zev since Zev is my favorite companion, favorite romance, favorite everything, but the Ali mods are so damn hard to resist. this really screws up my rping since there is no way Ali would ever willingly do my dalish and she would never do him either but the mods make such good eye candy

Oh!  My friend, you are in for a treat.    Lots of them, in fact.  I point you to the most excellent Improved Romance Scenes-Alistair page and to tmp7704's project page, where I can recommend all of his work, especially the proportion fixes.  His mild romance scenes are included in IRS so no need to download them separately.  Also to DahliaLynn's page for Alistair's First Night and Alistair's Kiss.  I have videos up of pretty much all of these.  Seriously, you'll wonder why BW hasn't hired these people already.  For Zevran you'll want ejoslins ZDF which fixes dialogue and plot flags.

If you want to romance Leli on a Human or elf female though I recommend his mild romance scenes (IRS has how to make it compatible with that Mod on the readme) as he includes an after tent talk with Leliana for all romances in it that is very sweet (Just like the after tent with Alistair is in IRS).

Obviously there's a PC mod that fixes the extra-long dwarf arms, but apart from that, I've never understood the problem with dwarf + human/elf combo. The height? The dwarf comes up to the human's shoulder.

I'm not sure what the issue is really with dwarves as far as that goes with players.  I know it presents its own unique issues (IE headaches) for modders because the proportions are so different in height from elf/human and human/human.  Personally I think the dwarf only line Alistair has (about being worried he is too tall I think?) is rather cute.

Also I think the height is closer to mid chest not shoulder, isn't it?   Elves are maybe to shoulder, maybe mid chest, there's not a significant difference there between elves and dwarves but enough to be a programming headache when trying to make scenes fit all three races.  I believe the only comparison shot I have of a dwarf and elf is a pic of Neria and Oghren in the deep roads and she seems only slightly taller than him.  Do you have a comparison shot of Ali and an Aeducan or Brosca so we can see?

It's from a cutscene but my Elf is standing next to Alistair, and she's only at about shoulder height so a Dwarf female isn't much shorter maybe by an inch or two.



I don't think there's anything wrong with the female Dwarves proportions once TMP fixed the gorilla arm issue . . . now Dwarf males on the other hand nothing says sexy like a gut and biceps as big as your head.

So elves are shoulder tall, dwarves midchest (or shoulder if they stand on tippy toes).  Not a significant difference in height I think.  I wonder what the headache is?  If you can design something for elves why does that little bit of difference really count?  *wonders where TMP is for his Godly Modding advice*
