Can someone please solve this mystery. My character is registering burdened carrying only 154.4 when his weight allowance is supposed to be 230 - this is annoying and frustrating is there something I can do about it?

Thanks for that - very useful, totally different from NW 1. I guess no more using my hero as a pack mule - darn, I expected more from my strapping paladin.

Okay I got happy too soon. My paladin has strength of 16: according to the information given in the chart that gives him a burden capacity of: Normal (cannot run but can walk at full speed) of 153 and a burdened walking at 50% speed of 230. I have divided his load between my other characters and he is now carrying only 117 - something even a wimpish mage in NW1 could carry and he is still registering as speed decreased and shambling along.

Try casting Restoration on him. Also check to be sure you didn't inadvertantly put him in Sneak or Search mode. I've been slowed buggishly on rare occasions, but a reload has always been enough.
