Hi all,

In this topic we're discusing ME3/exploration and a posible new story line for ME3.
Also in advance i would like to apologies for my gramma, as it is crap but i will do my best.

Alrighty all! as we all play ME2 and most of us know the game inside/out.

I would like to discuse two things.

1) exploration

2) new storyline ME3

1: Exploration.

Most of us have the feeling there was someting missing in Mass effect 2. I believe personly the game was verry good. But when you are exploring a area you alway's had that feeling that your going in a straight line and you can not get lost really. In oné side note i believe this is good. A game needs to be stable and have direction and order.
The other hand i believe Me2 could have mutch more indepth storyline/exploration.

For example: The citadel, Cerberus base,Krogan home world. and a lot more that we mist out.

The things that i did not see in ME2 and i really wanna see in ME3 is this:

The citadel can be build larger. Not with the facts of shops. But what you guy's wanna create is a place that a game player will never forget. A game player needs to go to a area and think WAUW! thats what you want. The citadel is a city and a city needs to be alive, busy, hectic! The citadel is a place of order, serentie and all races are welcome. I would like to see way more sociale aspect between NPC's ( things like Volus, Hanar,Elcor.and someting verry importend! turions)

Now to shorten up the story a bit.

I wanna see the homeworld of the Hanar/Drell. This species in the game are verry intresting for me. a indept story would be most thankfull. Do the Hanar live under the sea? or in a swamp like area.

As i believe we have seen enough of the Asari im missing 1 verry importend thing! The huge ship that the asai has. i wanna visit this when we recruit our posible army against the collecters/reapers. Its a huge ship. I wanna see the aspect of combat/mediation and preparing for battle with the asari. I believe the ship can have a huge effect on this!

I also believe we should learn more about the keepers. as there a verry intresting species.

Did you guy's ever think about a salarian homeworld? a genius city. everything is going verry fast past.

Turians are also verry intresting, Why? because the love combat, there a verry army focust species. As garrus was telling about his ship. releasing steam against other turian teammates. It gave me the idea how a ship/or world would be for this species...

Now promise guy's with the krogan, that we see a real krogan homeworld. The krogan are not all about destruction. Like Wrex is building up a clan, with woman and childeren. I would like to visit this. As it was verry funny that one female krogan wanted to have childeren with sheppard.

In all the contant of mass effect 1 and 2 i did not see enough childeren and females. I really believe bringing this into a game gives the game more heart.

Now this above Bioware is a start what i have got for you and i have a lot more! please make use of it.

2: Building a army

We all know that mass effect 1 was for fighting the geth and sauran. and getting to know who the reapers are.

In mass effect 2 we had to gather the best of the best for a suicide mission.

In mass effect 3. I'm sure all know it is getting a army of all species to destroy the reapers. Its the fight between dark and light. alpha and the omega...

I wish that sheppard has to build up a army that you really already decide making your army in mass effect 1.

Saving the councel
Not destroying the Rachni.  ( as the queen said in mass effect 2 she will join you in your cause against the reapers when the time comes. )

I hope again that in mass effect 3 its all about making choices and making a army as best as you can.  the councel believes whats going on. as there will be a tragic event. The will not be blind anymore.

You have to bring quarians/geth together. who has the right of living?

Krogan and salarians. making a choice will you cure the krogan or not

I believe when you have 2 army's 1 for a ground team between krogan and varran. and rachni/salarians/drell/asari.

Think of the posibilities when this species have to work with each other to destroy collecters bases. or someting els i really have to think about.

And ofcourse a space fight. As the space fights in Mass effect are alway's better then even starwars in my eyes.

Turians, humans, quarions, geth, asari. think of the posibities...

This is how i feel Mass effect 3 can be the best game people ever played.

For all the fans out there. Lets make this the biggest topic on the forums.

Kind regards,

Shiro

About the cities and exploration, I agree completely. The urban areas need to feel vibrant, alive and most importantly, interactive. Most urban areas in ME2 and 1 did a great job in both art and feel. However, this feeling is based on your visual sense and has no "backbone". What I mean by that the player cannot interact with the world the way that other games of the same genre did.

Bioware did a wonderful job nailing the art direction and the "feel" of urban areas but there are only so many things you can do on (for example) Illium and the Citadel. After taking out the merchant's uses in ME2*, this issue becomes even bigger. Like the OP said, I would love to get, quite literally, lost in such an immersible and seemingly vibrant world.

Same as exploration, they had a great idea going on in ME1, but the Mako put a sour note in it. In ME3, I would love to see a return of planet exploration COMBINED with the mission structure similar In ME2.

Now, the limitations of technology and budget would be the major road block for ideas like these for us but more so to the developers. They, of all people, would probably have much more great ideas like these. But if we put these in, coupled with ME's graphics, is probably going to take like 4 discs...

*Think about it, after you buy the upgrades, you don't even look at them anymore...(I support Ecael's inventory and item ideas)

Agreed. I think this is the basic belief of what ME3 is going to be about.

I actually kind of envisioned ME3 being sort of like Shadow of the Colossus...you and your party just assassinate Reapers one by one...there'd be stuff to fill in between Reaper fights but it would be cool to systematically wipe out Reapers like that. There's obviously a ton of Reapers so obviously you shouldn't have 102349578 of those fights, but having a few would be nice. And then you could see if your choices from ME1 and ME2 make whatever big ginormous battle at the end easier or harder (i.e. rachni, progressive Wrex-led krogans, reunited Geth all helping out your final battle).
