I'd like to point out that just because default Female Hawke has a hairstyle you don't like, that doesn't mean that if you want a different hairstyle, you cannot go forth and choose a different hairstyle for your own [Femme]  Hawke.

Dear writer, Epler, please,  do provide our "Femme Hawke" a wider selection of hairtyles and accessories (necklaces, hearings and bracelets (again whishing ardently), as well as a personality that ranges from gritty to ultimate humanitarian compassion.

Thanks.

A Greco-type outfit when our "femme" Hawke desires to relax will also be nice, too.

Probably because the same jobs that tolerate men with long hair are the same jobs that let people wear tennis shoes or Birckenstocks to work.

But within Dragon Age, it's not like long hair on men is uncommon or inappropriate, so it's not the same thing.

Can you please start poking the people in charge with sticks to release HQ images?

Yes please. I mean, don't poke them too hard. We don't wanna get you fired or anything. Maybe poke from the shadows like a rogue?

Or sit in the rafters, wait for an important dev guy to pass, and then lower a Lady Hawke image saying POST ME attached to a clamp on a string in front of his face and wheel it the hell back up when he wonders where this amazing idea came from.

There are ways to do this, Mr. Epler. There are ways.

It is conceivable he's talking about his both sensual and fierce coxa, and not about the 70s stoners with a cause.

I'm not a fan of short hair on myself, but short hair typically looks best on women who have smaller features (accordingly to the various fashion and beauty mags/sites I've perused). I tend to think this is a good rule of thumb. As a woman whose had both short hair and long hair, I actually think long hair works better in exercise situations. My short hair always got in my face/eyes but a tight bun keeps it all up even if its windy or rainy etc.

There have been many surveys and studies that indicate men (on average) prefer long hair to short hair, just something that evolution seems to have created. Supposedly, this is because long lustrous hair is representative of good health.

Will Garret Hawke be romanceable for Marian Hawke & vice versa?, and if so what would that even be called?

Right now she reminds me of Carey Lowell or a very young Pat Benatar.

I would say that girl-like long hair on dudes works way less on them then it does for girls with short hair.

Girls with short hair have a chance to look great.  A pretty good chance, actually.  I prefer short hair to long hair.

A guy with long hair, however, has a pretty good chance to look like a hippie.  I'm not saying that every guy with long hair is a hippie, but every hippie has long hair.

And I really don't see how anyone can say what Lady Hawke does or does not look like.  I've seen clearer pictures of Bigfoot, the Loch Ness monster, and UFOs than I have of Lady Hawke at this point.

I don't know.  I think guy with long hair and my mind goes straight to Mr. Pitt from Legends of the fall.Posted Image

I would love to see a fanart contest. Even just seeing all the entries would be amazing. Although, we've already had plenty of awesome fanart in the original Lady Hawke thread.

Well on that issue it's not so much about that but - granted this is in real life not videogames - soldiers tended to cut their hair (and facial hair) short so that if they lost their helmet, or didn't have one, the enemy couldn't simply grab hold of their hair because it would put them at a disadvantage.

A long ponytail swinging around can be a liability if someone grabs it and yanks hard.

If she looks like a young Pat Benatar there will be much squeeing from me. It will be glorious. Waiting for a clear glimpse of this character is killing me. I keep thinking I should go find something else to do, but then I wonder if someone will post a proper screen while I'm gone. :P
