It's funny, I don't mind Sandal. Even thought it was kinda amusing on my first playthrough. However most of the people I know who played Origins absolutely hated him, they were quite vehment about it. O_o

I like him for what he is - a one note joke, but these sort of things tend to take on cult status on the net.

To say it would be a Dragon Age without him as opposed to someone like Leliana or Morrigan is ridiculous, and probably a joke.

I must admit my first thought was that he was joking, but he didn't clarify that so it'll be interesting to find out whether he was serious about Sandal's inclusion in DA2 or not. I actually wouldn't be surprised if he was in, it's an easy DAO reference for them to make, and one that as you say has a cult following.

I would say that Alistair and Morrigan more closely represent 'Dragon Age' character-wise for me though. Hopefully we'll get cameos for both of them, especially drunk wasteman Alistair!
