A list of things I noted down:

  • At this time no console auto attack - PC retains it's auto attack for definite.
  • Give movement orders to companions on console, whooooo!
  • No block or parry button. I liked the way this got answered as it underlined how DA2 is still not a 'hack n slash' like some suggest.
  • Rogue now gets dual wielding and archery exclusively. Overal I don't mind this, the archery at least, as my main is a rogue anyway. Still kind of sucks that I can't make another crazy dual wielding warrior like my Beserker from Origins.
  • Mages still focused on ranged 'nuking' however they have improved their melee abilities substantially. Melee survivability in general has been improved. (One of mine!)
  • The 'shadow hands' move Hawke uses on the Qunari in the trailer is indeed a Mage finishing move - it's crushing prison's new finishing move!
  • Rogue's get stun bombs
  • Sebastian talked about how Archery has been improved and made much more responsive. You can move around the battlefield using abilties without worrying that you'll get a dagger in the face before you can line up a shot ala Origins. etc. (one of mine!)
  • Bethany written by Jennifer H (missed surname)
  • Kirkwall details: Very large city, split into two parts by an old quarry. Their is 'Low Town' for the poorer peoples and 'High Town' above. It also features one of the largest Circles of Magi in Thedas, with an army of Templars. Mage's get moved through there often.
  • Pretty much confirmation from David that when we encounter people from DAO they will often mention the Warden.

I'm sure I missed stuff but I think I got most of the important bits. Varric's chest hair should so have it's own animation.

There was more than a hint of implication that damage numbers are gone. :-(

Mine question... It always bothered me. Apparently, it even bothered him, so he changed it. Yay!

I beleive so.  I think the only difference between the console version and the pc is a toolbar and tactical camera.

Yes, so that's an area the sequel could improve upon, right?

You know, while watching the stream, a guy was playing as Bethany and, when casting Fireball (an AOE spell anyway) and choosing its area of effect, the camera zoomed away a bit for him to actually get a better view of the battlefield.

Never used it my self, and I play on the hardest difficulty. Felt the maxed zoom just short of the tactical view gave enough oversight while still being close enough to the action. Also being able to only see what your character can see is cool.

I honestly think that the tactical view was more needed on the consoles with their clunky controls rather than the pc.

Indeed, I saw that too, in PS3 version (closest TV).

Crappy screengrab of character select if anyone's curious

Aw, now it just sounds it's the initial selection screen, not the Load Menu.

I don't see this getting taken out of context at all. No sir.
