Because sites like ign.com/gametrailers.com/ect will pay a good deal of money to be the first to host such videos. They might be a bidding war right now. But I agree it is still odd, at this point in time (aka this close to release) it is surprising.

On the ustream just now, I heard a guy explaining to someone that because of the broadcast, folks tuning in heard a BioWare employee say, "I gotta go take a ******." Shiny. I guess it's as good a consolation prize as any, since I couldn't actually see the game.

Between you and me... I never really care about the gameplay when it comes to bioware. Don't get me wrong I think the gameplay is good, just never steller. No I care about the story, THATS what will get me hyped or not. Story is why I buy bioware games.
