Same here... yesterday an Dell Inspiron 9300 played the game just fine... then I farked up and patched the game. Now it says my driver is too old. No newer drivers available. Am I hozed?

Your RTFM post ("So the stickies didnt work?") is wasting your time in you posting it and is wasting my time in my reading it. It also describes you in a harsh and unfavorable light.

I had that problem, and theres a Microsoft patch that we have to get.

the silly thing about people saying "I'll wait" is that not everyone has problems... lots of people had it work just fine (mine did for instance) but the sticky for 1.01 fixes has reliably corrected at least a dozen pages worth of posters problems... maybe try it
