He mentioned that trailer Hawke is a mage using blood magic, take that as you will.
Which remind me, Do you have to be a mage to use blood magic? Or you could be a warrior?Dave of Canada wrote...

That would make you an arcane warrior. If you have the ability to use magic, you're considered a mage.Dr. wonderful wrote...

I was a whole lot less interested in the game until I heard that Morrigan and Alistair might appear--and I'll definitely be picking up that DLC. While I was disappointed that it's yet another DLC that doesn't feature the companions, I'm not about to miss out on more of Morrigan's story.Lilacs wrote...

He didn't have to answer the game length question, as it already has been answered. Yes, it will be shorter.
If you're upset with the game, cover your eyes now before I say.
Pretty much the exact phrase given for game length was "ME2 length." Supposed to be 20-30 hours. This being the developer numbers which are almost always inflated, too, by the way.
It's a standalone expansion.
@errantknight,
I think DA II will be a good game, there is not a wheel per se, but the dialogue is similar to DAO and al., but shorter, three lines or so, he said; he (David Gaider) also said that the game is shorter than Origins but longer than Awakening; that our decisions from both stated game (DAO and DAO: Awakening) impact DA II greatly.
I think it is a good thing. We will learn more tomorrow. Let us hope it is more good news. Morrigan and Flemeth both have major roles in DA II?! That shocked me, really... Well not the Flemeth part, but Morrigan? Now, I am really curious about her upcoming DLC. I wanted to opt out on it, but... hm.
He said there was more than one. Other than that, nothing that I can recall.bullion-rouge wrote...

I'm not sure this is entirely true, the reaver warrior specialization is taught to you by kolgrim. His dialog describing the abilities he'd teach specifically says the line "there is great power in blood, and through andraste's guidance we have unlocked this power." That always lead me to believe that reavers tapped in to blood magic.

Unless that's is just another instance of gameplay being to some extent independent of story and character.
