Actually if you had bought it in a store the usa copyright law would not have allowed it to be returned as an open product. This is a law in effect for all pc games due to piracy issues. This prevents someone from buying it, hacking it, taking it back and getting the money back, then distributing it. Sure pirates distribute games all the time, but the law makes some of them buy it first.

Exactly.  It is like trying to regurgitate what you ate at a restaurant and demand they take it back for a refund.

Also, if you don't buy a game, dont ask for support.  Its like refusing to pay taxes then crying about the sorry state of your local roads.

the store t and they gave me my money back.

going to a restaunrant if you order something like lets say a burger
with fries, and on your plate theirs one single frie your not going to
want to pay are u ?
how can i regurgitate if i havent had anything to eat?

So, if you walk into a restaurant, see that single fry, then walk out the door.  Dont run into the kitchen and steal more fries.

remember that these are the "user self-help forums" and the people from Bioware who post here are kind enough to do so, but that they're neither required nor obligated in any way to do so. Instead of complaining about the PS3 issues here (where we can do nothing for you) take it to the official help site. It may be that they're unaware of how widespread the problem may or may not be or it might be something tied up on Sony/Microsoft's end since both Sony and MS have to do their own testing and approval process for each patch for any console game that goes up on the system.

Yes US copyright law has no effect on you then, it would be whatever laws are in place in your country of course. You may indeed be entitled to refunds in your country, I have no clue.

As for refunds. Doubtful unless you just really hound them through your credit card company.

In your original post, you said you tried everything. There's a finality to that claim that indicates there are no more options I can provide you with no matter how many people I've helped sort out their issues on this forum. Luckily the other people hadn't already tried everything and we were able to find solutions that worked for them.



Perhaps you would consider altering your approach to dealing with these issues that a solution would better present itself. Providing useful information that community support can use to assist you in diagnostics as well as overall computer maintenance would be a great step towards that end.

Just out of curiousity ( and a lack of search still ). What's the exact problem you're having with the game?

Simple.... I hit the "play" button and it says that there´s a configuration problem and that I should reinstall the game.

I´ll link my specs. This is the result I got when running the required spec test. This is also the specs I sent to Bioware. No, I don´t understand half of it since I´m not a computer expert. The box didn´t say you had to be ;-)

Could you give me a listing or screenshot of the contents of your bin_ship directory? Also, could you post the contents of the EACore_App.ini file? I've successfully trouble shot this on some computers, but the solutions vary. That information helps narrow it down.

Not a problem. I can walk you through it.  
Open up the directory you installed the game to ( default is C:\\\\program files (x86)\\\\Bioware\\\\Dragon Age

there will be a folder named bin_ship  . Open that folder and it will have the files in there. To a screenshot using the print screen key and then pasting into paint would be great, but if that's not an option then look for these files:

EACore.dll
EACore_App.ini
EACoreServer.exe

Yes that one thanks!  Disregard my previous post. You posted this as I was typing it.

Ok, we're going to try the first and easiest fix.

BACKUP the file. Copy it to your desktop or anywhere, just back it up.
In the text editor remove everything in it.  Just leave it completely blank.  Save ( make sure its still in the directory just with nothing inside the file itself ) the file and then try to start the game.

Post back if it works. If not there are a few other things to try.
