I just wanted to make a quick post and thank Obsidian for making this great game. I hope they come to these forums, anyway I had a blast and pretty much loved every part of the game, well except for maybe the beginning. It's weird, this was my third time trying to get into NWN2, the first time was right after I finally beat the Original NWN for the first time and I just couldn't get over a few issues that really bothered me, cough cough AI/Camera Control.  Then I tried it again a while after that and made it to Chapter 2 and I don't really know why I quit playing, maybe I had a new game I wanted to try or something but I remember enjoying myself while I was playing it.

So this time was the third time and the third time was the charm for me. It took me a while to finish it, I tend to explore every inch of every single thing about a game, I just don't want to miss anything so now I've finally beat the OC and I had a really good time.  Yes there were some issues and yes the AI just made me shake my head at times but then again so did the AI in the original NWN, I can't remember how many times my stupid Cleric Henchmen would use Turn Undead when only 1 skeleton was on the screen and waste it so that when I was surrounded by a bajillion of them she wouldn't be able to cast it. Or how about Tommy Undergallows would try over and over to pick that Locked door that needed a key?  Lol, anyway, with a few downloads and with me controlling my mages instead of letting them cast on their own everything worked out just fine for the most part.  I do think that Atari probably rushed Obsidian, heck they rush everyone, I just wish Wizards of the Coast would win their lawsuit and maybe give Obsidian the D&D rights but even with being rushed I think they turned out a fine game.  The story was great, voice acting was top notch, Music was incredible, gameplay was fun and NPC interaction was good, I didn't care much for the crafting and actually had more fun finding my armor rather than crafting everyone a +5 Chain Shirt with a +5 weapon with 2d6 vs evil and 1d6 fire damage Lol but to each their own.  I guess what I'm saying is I had a blast and every game has it's flaws. I think that RPG's more so than other games because of the sheer amount of different elements of the game which must all come together unlike a shooter where you just have to shoot the badguys and watch a few cutscenes here and there, not that there's anything wrong with that.

I also liked the graphics alot, I know alot of people hated them and thought the people looked stiff and pastic but I thought they were just fine and even beautiful in some spots. I really liked the look of the armor for some reason, chain mail looked like chain and the armor looked more functional than most games which just gives you giant spikey armor that while it looks awesome couldn't really have ever worked in real life but then again it's a game and not real life so once again to each their own.    ;)

And now the ending......I actually liked it.  I thought it was quite fitting for the story and won't go into details because I don't want to spoil it for anyone but I know alot of people didn't like it but I for one enjoyed it and thought it fit very well with the story.   :wizard:

Well that was my not so short post, sorry I got carried away.  NWN2 OC was a fun, epic adventure and I would recommend it to anyone. I only crashed once using Vista 32 bit and didnt really encounter any other serious problems.  Make sure you save alot, don't let the initial AI and controls scare you off, it does seem to get better or maybe you just get used to it (Hint - Make sure you download Tony K's A.I. and yes I know the game incorporates it but it doesn't use the full version so you should really download it to get the most out of the games A.I. It's a game chaging mod) and just have fun.  Thank you Obsidian, I had a great time. Now I'm off to Mask Of the Betrayer and then SOZ so I still have lots of hours of entertainment ahead of me. Definitely money well spent.  :o

Then you have to play it at least one more time.  You either became a Watchman or a Shadow Thief;  you've got to try the other route.  There's a BUNCH of different content you'll never see otherwise.  Posted Image

Find Tony K's AI on the vault. It'll make your party and the NPCs a lot smarter.

Also, Kaedrin's class Pack has a ton of bug fixes and a ton of extra content.

I already use Tony K's AI and plan on using Kaedrin's class Pack for either my second or third playthrough . I played as a watchman the first time and I may do so again for the second time because I didn't get all of those titles because I did some things wrong ( Edited to remove spoilers, sorry Lol ) so I think I'll go through again using different companions, my main people were Khelgar, Elanee or is it Elenee, however it's spelled Lol, that weird cleric Zhaeve or whatever her name is and Sand, I couldn't stand Qara and didn't care how powerful she might be, everytime she says "what is it?" I just want to slap her. so I thought I'd go through again with other companions and then for my third playthrough I'd like to play a completely evil character and see what happens.

Right now I"m playing MOTB and then I plan on doing SOZ and maybe a few player made mods before starting back all over again. I imagine my next playthrough will be much faster because I know much more about what I'm doing and also I won't bother wasting my time with the crafting, at least not too much, maybe one sword for my main and armor, I actually prefer finding my equipment, it's just funner to me that way. Some of the weapons you find look cool and have good stats besides the game wasn't that hard so I don't feel the need to max every single weapon and armor.

Well, I'm gonna get back to my game, So far I'm enjoying MOTB, it's a bit different from the OC and I honestly didn't care much for the beginning area although it was nothing compared to my all time hatred of Chateau Irenicus in Baldur's Gate II, god I hate that area, I now use the mod to just bypass it altogether. It's not that it's a bad area, it's just long and tedious and after the 12 thousandth time of going through it you tend to get a bit tired of it.  :o

Anyway, thanks everyone for replying, I'm off to play MOTB :wizard:
