I always thought that Morrigan's accent was used to make her more exotic. Everything about Morrigan seems deliberate in that way, which makes sense, since her ultimate purpose was to seduce a Grey Warden and …

Wait, no spoilers.

As someone who's lived in England all my life, I'm a little perplexed about the "aristocratic" angle: it's a very generic south eastern accent that you'll hear all over the Home Counties, albeit with slightly odd diction, although it works very well with the character.  (Yes, I know Claudia Black is Australian and not English, which surprised me given the accent in question).

I think the voice is very well done, but it's really not something I'd describe as aristocratic.

Likely because the person heard what they believed was english and just put in their mind, it must be aristocratic!

Its a common failing people have when they hear an unfamiliar accent.

its' deffo an Australian accent, as is the face, which is more native Australian in appearance than the original actress. As a south eastern UK person, it's neither English nor aristocratic.

Twit.

Thinking of Miranda in ME2.

Morrigan English but not aristo - not enoiugh drawl. Not even assertive public servant middle class - more academic challenging.

this reply is probably a bit late... but i thought that morrigan should of had a younger voice actress. Her voice doesn't really sound realistic (imagine anyone in real life talking like morrigan...). I know she's a witch and all, but her voice just isn't right

her voice was majestic in origins, sounded rushed in witch hunt though
