A Volus, if only to manage your finances and make epic profits for you by playing the stock market while you're off on missions.

A female Turian or male Quarian would be nice to fill out those races' representations more.

Wrex, Ashley/Kaiden, Liara, and all the squadmates from ME2, even the DLC characters.

I'd like to see Aria or Kal'Reegar join. I wish Kal'Reegar wasn't killable in ME2 and he might have a chance.

We have 15 potential squaddies already.

We don't need more.

Its quite possible Kal could be Tali's replacement if she *gasp* dies in the suicide mission.

Anyway, Bioware, if you were to make one new squad member (but please don't I want the old team back) I'd better see Blasto.

I would prefer to keep as many of the ME1 and ME2 squadmates as possible, but if there was a new squadmate, I would like to see a Batarian.  Basically I would like to see an outcast and disgraced Batarian that was once the bodyguard for a Batarian diplomat that tried (unsuccessfully due to being assassinated) to establish more friendly ties with the Alliance.  Character wise his background would be similar to Garrus with the gruffness and vengeance of Zaeed, a dependable soldier attitude almost like Kal'Reegar, the "bad boy" archetype relating to how Yeoman Chambers referred to Thane, and an attitude towards humans that is similar to Ashley's views on aliens.

Kal'Reegar (tech/combat specialist)

Captain Kirrahee (squad leader. Hell, he did a damn good job on Virmire)

Aria (or Wrex's Asari Commando; Hey, she fought off Wrex for days on end, and escaped him)

Captain Gavorn (SLAUGHTER THE VORCHA)

Another Drell (We're gonna need a replacement for Thane :( )

Corporal Tombs (if you saved his life in the quest)

The Batarian terrorist's lackey (if you didn't kill him; he remembers you and decides to help you)

Captain Matsuo (good with diplomacy, decent fighter, has respect for Shepard)

The Urdnot Chief Scout (a token of goodwill from the leader of the clan? I wanna see a sneaky Krogan)

I don't think a Vorcha would be a good choice. They're pretty dumb, and would be problematic when interacting with other characters.

I also don't think a Batarian would be a good choice. No Batarian would follow a human, unless that human had dome something for Batarians (I do not believe Shepard has helped the Batarians in any big way)

A vorcha, they'r intresting quite honestly and theres nothing saying that a vorcha cant learn (just that its not worth teaching a vorcha since they die so quickly)

Failing that a Batarian (AND DONT MAKE HIM A SLAVER) would be nice.

I 100% agree with this! Also a Female Drell and a good looking Human man. Thanks to everyone who has replied so far, reading your opinions is very interesting. People who want old sqaud mates though sadly i think that is unlikely to happen. The only one that could come back is Liara since she cant die, unless you have the option for her to die in LotSB. I have a feeling that might happen actually which makes me sad :crying:.

A female Krogan would give us another take on that species. If she we were some sort of battle engineer that would be a very different type of character than Grunt or Wrex.

I'm thinking LotSB will give us an idea as to whether Liara is going to rejoin the Normandy. I'm assuming that Liara and Ashley/Kaiden will rejoin the crew; since they were holding them back for some reason.

A batarian. They were cast in a very villainous light in the Bring Down the Sky DLC, but a more grudgingly-sympathetic one in ME2. I'd like to see a batarian squad member in ME3 to give their race the sort of personal development that Legion, Tali, Wrex, Mordin, and Thane gave their races.
