Dumbest Enemy (storywise)

He's not stupid for coming after Commander Shepard, since he didn't know who she was, but his "Do whatever you like to this gunship!" comment was extremely ill-thought-out. Yes, I will do whatever I like to that gunship, which involves blowing it up. While you're in it. It's good to know that you have a garage filled with spares, but I don't see how that will help *you*.

But a dead Shepard wouldn't have been worth anything unless he makes a deal with the Collectors. And killing Shepard would have had the Council and Cerebus as their enemy. Joker would have probably just blown up Purgatory after Shep is confirmed to be dead.MaaZeus wrote... Jeong is definetly up there, though he was

he used to be quite badass soldier himself. He
definetly had a chance to win or so he
thought. But too bad his men nor his skill
were not enough against the legendary Shepard.

And there is the kicker to this while saga of stupidity. The Normandy is just sitting there, a heavily armed frigate against the Suns unarmed, modular prison ship.
The suns are pretty much helpless unable to even bring in food supplies safely unless Normandy wants to let them through while i imagine disabling the ship entirely wouldn't be too great a challenge for the EDI/Joker. As far as i can tell Kuril had no plan to neutralise the Normandy and that fact alone makes his plan next to idiotic.

Good point. I totally forgot the Normandy. Yeah, Normandy alone could have held the Purgatory as "hostage" until Shepard is released, unless Purgatory was equipped with any kind of spacefight weaponry. But we dont know that.

Purgatory..Mostly Prisoner modules. I imagine an inodrinate amount of space would have to be given over to life support, storage and security facilities. That said i'd expect some sort of armament but there is no way it'd be able to outmatch Normandy with her AI, Silaris armour and Thanix cannons, both upgrades that you'll likely have by the time you hit purgatory if you're obsessive like me.

Jeong, Jedore, Harkin, all of the Mercs ect. Anyone who honestly believes that they can defeat Shepard warrants an insanity award.

He is unbelieveabley stupid, because Shepard outright tells him he is a specter, and no doubt Kelem knows of Shepards accolades. Why ****** off the man/woman who saved the Citidel from millions of Geth?
Even after Shep tells him who he is, he still plays the Diplomatic Immunity trip. Who does he think he is? You can't sue a specter, because they are protected by the council. Yet he still thought he could prevoke Shepard into hitting him, or just be a general ass. He is incredibley stupid if you ask em.

i actually enjoy failing the interrogation just so you can pull the Spectre card on the lawyer, to be honest i find that the best ending scene for that sequence.

The warden takes the cake but this guy is runner up. Seriously being strapped to a chair and pissing off the man that killed Saren.

To be fair with the Normandy though, essentially in game it is just a glorified taxi. It's only in the end that we get to see the Normandy actually acting as a warship.
It's not discussed as just a taxi, though, and the final mission does make it clear that it is one hell of a fighter.
Further, the Purgatory is described in the Codex as being minimally armed. It has some defensive GARDIAN lasers, but is incapable of defending against even basic jailbreak attack on it's own, requiring Blue Suns' fighters to defend it.
In short, a frelling cargo vessel just pissed off the most advanced warship in the galaxy.

Yeah, but seriously what is Joker gonna do? Obliterate the station that Shep is currently on? It was a bad idea, yes, but that part? Not the most significant of its problems. Even the supply line thing is iffy: Shep's gotta eat too, you know.

I imagine EDI could pretty much have a field day with the Purgatory's internal systems, to say nothing of Joker's capacity to shoot big, expensive, prisoner-killing but not ship-destroying holes in the outer hull - through which a boarding party might be delivered if Jack's the last of the pre-Horizon stops.didymos1120 wrote...

Yeah that's what I mean. I suppose the Cerberus crew on the warship could sally forth and attempt a rescue of their esteemed leader, but tbh the crew don't really look like warriors to the same extent as say the Alliance crew on the original Normandy.
It's actually a shame that we don't get to see the Normandy as a warship until the climaxes of both games imo as there are, in my opinion plenty of times when the Normandy utilizing it's warship status could come in handy (such as shooting down Vido perhaps?).. or destroying that freighter that the blue suns had taken over in which you were tasked with taking something from its hold.
