I am so happy that we finally got to see what Lady Hawke looks like....also the fact that fans could play her at PAX is amazing.

Edit: So what class is everyone going to try for Lady Hawke on their first playthrough?

I'm going to be a mage, but ideally I'd like to make her a mage/rogue hybrid.

Yes, I want a ninja-mage Lady Hawke........Image IPB

Definately a rogue.  Flipping around looks too fun. :bandit:

Grey Delisle was not in Dragon Age (or at least she isn't credited) so that rules her out sadly.

Grey DeLisle voiced Velanna in Awakening, so she's still "in play", so to speak; she could pull double duty if the casting director feels like she's the right fit.

I'm going to probably start with a warrior since they are fairly easy to play.  I really want to play a mage, but since the first time I played DA:O I managed to miss half the content I should probably do a test run first.  It will also give me a chance to practice mage builds with my companions.  I probably made the most useless mage possible my first Origins playthorugh because I had no idea what I was doing :P

See, that's what great about Dragon Age...people of all ages coming together:wizard:

For my first playthrough I am going to try to make an evil mage Lady Hawke......I normally play good first but, then I feel guitly when I do my evil playthough so I plan to do evil first. So first I will do evil blood mage , then good mage, then a neutral rogue, and then warrior for last.

I agree that Lady Hawke looks a little like Morrigan.....has anyone here actually played Lady Hawke at Pax?

While unlikely, I might make a female mage Hawke (if Varric is a romance) to create the whole "Apostate sisters!" thing.

ahh yes that must be it...makes me feel better.......then again the first computer I ever played a game on was a commodore 64 so maybe I am old<_<

I have a Commodore 64 somewhere around here in a box.

Kids...I had a Commadore VIC-20

Grandchildren, I played Pong at home. On whatever that Atari system was called. (Alright. I was actually two years old watching my parents play.)

FemHawke's short hair = perfect rogue styling. Well, warrior too - but bah warriors. It's all about the sneakin around and stabbin people in the back. BAD people, okay? Baaaad people/spiders/monsters/things.

I'm torn about the class of my first LadyHawke - my first Warden was a rogue, and I was going to rule that out, but the dual-wielding seems really neat and my Warden was an archer so ... I haven't decided at all. Probably not a mage if we can have Bethany with us all the way through the game, though.

 Commodore, Intellivision, Atari...those were the days.  Playing Donkey Kong, Summer Games II, Dungeon and Dragons.  I had more games for my Commodore than my NES and SNES combined.

Edited:  Some how I'll fit playing male Hawke.

I did the same thing with the spells for my first playthough on DAO and even missed all the Blackstone Irregulars and mage collective quests on my first playthrough. I'm hoping since I played as a mage in DAO, I'll be able to pick better abilites for DA2.

Summer games II, I used to love that game. Did you ever play Bard's
Tale.....I think that was where my love for RPGS started.......

Edit:to keep this thread LAdy Hawke oriented and not get closed.....perhaps fans could continue to post fanart here since the other thread got closed?

Hmm.  Why do people feel they messed up with their mages?  I didn't take all the spells widely regarded as broken in the game (and I even took some that were considered "bad"), but I still thought my character turned out pretty powerful and not too difficult to play.

I just don't feel like I can get into rogues and warriors the way I can with mages in this game (and by the way, in general I like playing magic users, not just in DA:O).Image IPB

I like how Lady Hawke looks (at least I think I do) but I wonder what new things will be added like new hairs . Image IPB

And I think I'll as a rogue then a mage. I usually don't play as a mage but this time I want to play as one .

I could be wrong but IIRC Gaider said she was in DA but had a small role.  I didn't consider Awakening, but still i think Velanna would be considered a big role.

They have Summer Games II on the WII.  =]  I don't remember a Bard's Tale.  There were sooo many games.    Our neighbor was a spoiled only son and his parents would give us his old games\\systems.

I'm going to try my hand at some fanart now that we have some inkling as to what Lady Hawke looks like.  I can't wait for the wallpaper to be released.

So, is anyone going to stick with the default hair and color? I probably will, I love her short pixie hair.

I also like magic users in all games in general...I love playing as a mage, wizard, etc. However, I seemed to pick a lot of broken spells....and at first I decided to be a fire mage and picked all the fire type spells only to realize I didn;t have any crowd control spells and that perhaps picking the frost spells before the fire spells might have been better choice....however, I still loved my character and felt she was pretty powerful and I respec' her spells when I got to DAA so by then she was all powerful:D

I may it depends on the character creator what I do for my first playthrough.....but I will use the default Lady Hawke for at least one playthrough

Hair color, yes.  Pixie cut, no.  Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against that hairstyle (in fact I think it looks great on some people), it just isn't what I pictured for my character.  I think I want my Lady Hawke to have a ponytail.

Understood.  Although, when I speak of "broken spells," I'm actually talking about overpowered spells, not underpowered ones (in other words, they "break" the game).

My first love for RPG's was Final Fantasy > I love playing mages but love to slash and dice as well. I've played through DAO several times. Trying everything. I suppose I'll do the same with DA2. Hopefully they'll have arcane warriors. Blast and slash. Please give us women pretty hair though, don't care about the boobs!
