Let me answer for you: no you don't. Because you don't want to be proven wrong and cant live with that.

There's a new tactic. Tell someone who disagrees with you what they believe and that they're in denial about being wrong because they;re psyche can't handle it.

I just had a somehat strange thought from looking at that picture of MHawke when compared to the one from the demo screen shot. Is it possible that they could be attempting something along the lines of Fable 2 in that your class helps to determine your appearance? The top photo is the beginnings of Hawke's story, the bottom comes from some unknown point, and he clearly looks older and more ripped. Perhaps, being a warrior gives you a more muscled physique as you progress, a rogue could be lithe and slimmer with leaner muscles, and a mage could be a bit softer...hmm.

While this is an interesting observation, it appears as if the "normal" Hawke is using a two-handed sword, meaning he is more than likely a warrior.

Oh yes, I noticed that. What I'm saying is maybe all the Hawkes( Male or female, warrior, rogue, or mage) start off with the same(Well not the same exactly, but you catch my drift) "default" body that changes as the years move on to reflect their class.

And a female Mage would have giant boobs...

Why?

Lack of exercise

A mage PC will NOT lack for exercise.  Neither would any mage that happened to be traveling with you.

How so?  They may be on the run but they aren't running Marathons, and what work they would do would not be as physicaly taxing.

Ten pages. If this thread proves anything, is that no one is indifferent to boobs.

Please, Bioware, please. Answer this thread, so this madness can stop.

In the realm of the mad, Chewbacca roams free

Wait, that's not how that is suppose to go

You know what? If Garrett's muscle mass is such a problem, it can be changed, too.

I will point out that it is not nearly as idealized as Bethany's character model, or as impractical, but there you go.

Besides that, as previously noted, the reason why men tend to be made like that is because other men would like to see their avatars as this buff, powerful, masculine figures (not every man, but enough so that this standard persists), and would also like to see the women as sensual, busty eyecandy. They are not the same thing. Men not complaining that their character figures are idealized is not the same as women complaining about theirs.

Are you really trying to argue that depicting male fighters as strong and capable is just as bad as depicting their female counterparts as weak and huge breasted?

Just because you think it's not a trivial doesn't make it so,

A 75-page thread seems to disagree with this statement, let's also not forgot how it's been brought up 4-5 times by now.

There's a difference between wanting them, and being ok with having them. I happen to be the latter genius.

Then why are you hostile with the idea of shrinking them down

Yep, that includes Morrigan, Flemeth, Lelianna and every women in DAO. Smart.

We're speaking of Dragon Age 2, no? This would mean Leliana and such would have the same breasts as Bethany if they reappeared in Dragon Age 2.

At least this isn't an ME forum, we'd have attack Rachni along with madness, and I'm fresh out of RAID.

I just cannot grasp why it bothers people so much that others don't want their characters (who are fighters) to have muscles and not look like they stepped out of Playboy. They can still be idealized, but can we have a different ideal that isn't from the ******-book of a 15 year old boy?

Don't you know, Yuki? We're spoiling all their fun and stealing their candy while we're at it. We are anti-fun(bags).<--couldn't resist. B)

I totally forgot that the bodies of athletes are not ideal! Look at this monster-

IDK. It just amuses me that people are acting like we're saying NO BOOBS FLAT AS A BOARD ONLY PLZ. All I want is some muscles and *smaller* boobs.

Yes it would be. A mage traveling with your party has the same responsibilities as the fighters. Might even have more because while the warriors are engaging the enemy, you're the only there who can actually tend to the wounded/get them out of harms way.

This is starting to look like the ME forum.

Except more fun from my point of view.  I'm waiting for the game to come out before I get pissed off

Yes, its releastic for men like hawke to sport 18 inch arms and subsuquently display great symmetry and muscle seperation where proper bodybuilding nutrition doesn't exist in such times.

Wow, I had no idea bodybuilding was so specific about things like muscle separation, but the 18 inch arm thing is conceivable. You're fighting for your life all day long, and you've trained like that for years.  I don't think DA maps directly onto medieval Europe, however, so it's a moot point to me.

That...knotted mass of muscles you showed seemed like he was competing in a smaller weight division, at least compared to the men I've seen boasting 23 inch arms (and larger!!)  A buddy of mine has 18 inch guns from manual labour and genetics, and yes, some very moderate weight lifting.  He's nowhere near Hawke's height and frame, about 5'9" or so. While I take your point about symmetry and separation, I think the size thing is conceivable.

And staves are also a melee weapon now, advertised Hawke is a mage for example.

What's to answer? Bethany, Mommy Hawke, Lady Hawke, and Aveline are all busting like Brood Mothers. No question there.

I really want to hear Bioware's opinion on this. I am sure that they are well aware of the over sexualization of women in video games and the excessively busty female models are not doing them any favors. Male Hawke looks normal by comparison

I know your point. But it gets extremely hypocritical when some members(not you) try to tell me you need to be completely releastic in a fantasy game(which has magic, dragons, obnoxious dwarves) and then tell me its ok for a male warrior to be as buffed as a champion bodybuilder with poor nutrition but not ok for a girl to have large breasts.... is very obnoxious.

Thats my point, i'm not justifying the ladies having large racks in DA2, im just questioning some peoples ridiculous rationale. I never asked for big boobs or a boob job in DA2.

LOL, well to assume your sarcasm went above my head, he probably had boulder punching training while with whatever group that he was in since he obviously had to do that.

Also his muscles protected him from high heat.

What's her face had no excuse however
