While this is an interesting observation, it appears as if the "normal" Hawke is using a two-handed sword, meaning he is more than likely a warrior.Deathispink wrote...
I just had a somehat strange thought from looking at that picture of MHawke when compared to the one from the demo screen shot. Is it possible that they could be attempting something along the lines of Fable 2 in that your class helps to determine your appearance? The top photo is the beginnings of Hawke's story, the bottom comes from some unknown point, and he clearly looks older and more ripped. Perhaps, being a warrior gives you a more muscled physique as you progress, a rogue could be lithe and slimmer with leaner muscles, and a mage could be a bit softer...hmm.

Why?
Lack of exercise
A mage PC will NOT lack for exercise. Neither would any mage that happened to be traveling with you.

There's a difference between wanting them, and being ok with having them. I happen to be the latter genius.
Yep, that includes Morrigan, Flemeth, Lelianna and every women in DAO. Smart.

I just cannot grasp why it bothers people so much that others don't want their characters (who are fighters) to have muscles and not look like they stepped out of Playboy. They can still be idealized, but can we have a different ideal that isn't from the ******-book of a 15 year old boy?
Don't you know, Yuki? We're spoiling all their fun and stealing their candy while we're at it. We are anti-fun(bags).<--couldn't resist.![]()

How so? They may be on the run but they aren't running Marathons, and what work they would do would not be as physicaly taxing.

At least this isn't an ME forum, we'd have attack Rachni along with madness, and I'm fresh out of RAID.

Yes, its releastic for men like hawke to sport 18 inch arms and subsuquently display great symmetry and muscle seperation where proper bodybuilding nutrition doesn't exist in such times.

But they swing heavy objects around and are more likely to have to stay in shape

IDK. It just amuses me that people are acting like we're saying NO BOOBS FLAT AS A BOARD ONLY PLZ. All I want is some muscles and *smaller* boobs.

I know your point. But it gets extremely hypocritical when some members(not you) try to tell me you need to be completely releastic in a fantasy game(which has magic, dragons, obnoxious dwarves) and then tell me its ok for a male warrior to be as buffed as a champion bodybuilder with poor nutrition but not ok for a girl to have large breasts.... is very obnoxious.Saibh wrote...
You know what? If Garrett's muscle mass is such a problem, it can be changed, too.
I will point out that it is not nearly as idealized as Bethany's character model, or as impractical, but there you go.
Besides that, as previously noted, the reason why men tend to be made like that is because other men would like to see their avatars as this buff, powerful, masculine figures (not every man, but enough so that this standard persists), and would also like to see the women as sensual, busty eyecandy. They are not the same thing. Men not complaining that their character figures are idealized is not the same as women complaining about theirs.

Don't worry man, he needed those muscles to punch boulders.
*obvious sarcasm before people think I'm serious >.<*
