There is an ongoing debate as I would say Mage, while a Rogue would be more slender and possibly physically attractive.

A 75-page thread seems to disagree with this statement, let's also not forgot how it's been brought up 4-5 times by now.
That's a false fact. This is an opinion Dave is pointing out many people have wide and varying and strong opinions about. Also, a group of ten thousand in a country of tens of millions makes no difference. 75 pages in one day on these forums is something.
It should mean something. Even the no-overhead/no-toolset thread didn't get that much, that quick. Regardless, it's important on the forums, evidently, and they do read our thoughts.Just because a bunch of people on these forums(who happens to be a small percentage of people compared to the rest of the buyers of DAO(and DA2) made a 75 page long thread(mostly posted by the same people), doesn't make it a huge issue.

This is the reason why I wouldn't be so totally against sliders for body size. I know it'd never work, but it's still nice to dream.

You know what? If Garrett's muscle mass is such a problem, it can be changed, too.
I will point out that it is not nearly as idealized as Bethany's character model, or as impractical, but there you go.
Besides that, as previously noted, the reason why men tend to be made like that is because other men would like to see their avatars as this buff, powerful, masculine figures (not every man, but enough so that this standard persists), and would also like to see the women as sensual, busty eyecandy. They are not the same thing. Men not complaining that their character figures are idealized is not the same as women complaining about theirs.
It's pretty idealized actually. Speaking from personal expierience from before I got my nice cushy civilian job: Wearing armor 24/7 while lugging around weapons and engaing in combat burn a hell of a lot of calories. More than you can ever replace without tons of downtime. You end up looking like corded wood. Think more Bruce Lee than Arnold. Thats with modern rations that give 4-5k calories with 0 effort a day too. If you are scavanging/hunting as you go you wouldn't even be able to maintain that amount of muscle mass. Not that reality matters in a video game.

But it would be kind of weird for it to end with Cassandra simply saying, "nice story, kthxbye" *roll credits*. There's probably some sort of followup regarding Cassandra, after the story is told. And I'm doubting the gameplay or models are going to change for that final portion, although I don't know how extensive that final portion will be either, assuming it exists.Lord_Valandil wrote...
I think that the game is told enterily from Varric's POV.
Ten years have passed, and Cassandra wants to know what happened with Hawke.

I'm sure you're right, but still less idealized then Bethany's figure, especially in the setting given.

Maybe my mage just isn't a pin up model?
((which isn't to say I look down on pin up models. I'm just saying maybe my Hawke is closer to the homely end of the spectrum.))

IDK. It just amuses me that people are acting like we're saying NO BOOBS FLAT AS A BOARD ONLY PLZ. All I want is some muscles and *smaller* boobs.
Maybe it's because I actually have this type of body in real life that I think this, but muscle tone and smaller chests look good. You also have to be aware that this girl is a track runner. Track, no matter what event, is a high impact sport. You have to wear a really tight sports bra to not feel like someone shot you in the chest.

Varric: Oh you should have seen her Cassandra. Hourglass figure, beautiful red hair and a MOUNTAINOUS bosom with which she would crush her foes
For Male Hawk it would be the hidden longsword.... in his pants...
Then when the game returns to present day we see a more realistic and better proportioned models/physique's for Hawke. Cassandra laughs to herself thinking about the ridiculous image Varric put in her head

Horrible analogy. Even if 10 000 people yelled out that Obama was white, it would never make it true. If 10 000 people complained about the breast size, Bioware CAN change it.
Just because a bunch of people on these forums(who happens to be a small

Where did i depict hostility to the idea of them shrinking down?
You essentially came into this thread with pure sarcasm and laughing at everybody who disagreed with you, including calling people trolls and such.
All i did was point out and laugh at peoples ridiculous assertions that its unrealistic for a girl to have big boobs but its ok for a fantasy world to show dragons blowing flames out of their assess and annoying dwarves that dont shut up.(you get the idea).
We've had our discussion of realism earlier.
But hey, nice strawman argument, i should role out the red carpet for you your majesty.
That'd be nice, you'd save me some money.

No, you said Thedas, Thedas = DAO and DA2. Do you get my point?
But we're talking about Dragon Age 2 where we see women from Ferelden (who have the oversized breasts), the Free Marshes and probably Tevinter and such considering how the Free Marshes are this giant central area in the world of Thedas. Meaning that every woman in Thedas will have these giant breasts because they won't make multiple models for one character type, including Leliana / Morrigan and such if they reappear and don't have a custom rig.

To be perfectly fair, some of the devs have admitted the shortcomings of Mass Effect 2 and there have been the usual comments of how ME3 will be much better and stuff.
