A different kind of boob rant

I was, however, fascinated by my (male) friend's Action Men (that's the UK name for GI Joe, if you're American) and his Action comics.
I did like horses, but more for the going fast and jumping stuff angle than anything. I also followed racing, kept a form book and had my mother put bets on for me on the big races.
I was very attracted to games when they first started to appear - my first encounters were arcade Space Invaders and Frogger and the like. It was natural that I'd end up with my own computer as soon as they became affordable.
Aside from that, I'm not sure what the stereotypical female hobbies are. Drinking chardonnay with your girlfriends? Shoe shopping? I've never been interested in such things. I'd say my interests are games, riding rollercoasters and going to the gym.

For all we know, Varric might just be exaggerating.
In all seriousness, I'm a little disappointed the breasts are so large, but I don't particularly care enough to really argue either side.

A woman can have large breasts if she has a generous figure and the hips to match them and this can look great, but if a woman has a slim body, very little hips and then sport large sized breasts then it just screams silicone, because that's not natural. That type of "pornstar" body, that no one is born with in real life, has no business as role model in a computer game.
I am all for it if Bioware wants to have heroines with large breasts, but then give her the body and the hips to match it! And in the case of female warriors, why not add in a bit of muscles too.
I know the rule today is that female heroines should be as strong as the men but still look dainty, and that female gamers are probably at least as guilty as men in perpetuating this odd idea. I want to see a really strong woman in the game that looks strong too.

The only way I can accept female warriors/warrior-like characters in fiction, no matter if it's games or tv-series, that can kick ass against men five times their size and still be small (with or without giant breasts) is if they've got some supernatural powers to aid them. Otherwise it just looks silly.
So yes. Give female Hawke some muscles, too. Make her look realistic.

Do not worry most female gamers do not care THAT much about the size of breasts on a fictional person.Deathispink wrote...
I'm sorry, I just gotta say it...YAY! Female PCs will have awesome boobs! FINALLY! I'm a long-time player of RPGs and the one thing that always bothered me the most was how, no matter how much tweaking was done(Not counting all the awesome mods out there obviously), a female pc is always just a skinnier version of the male model with two large lumps on their chest that are supposed to represent a pair of breasts. This just never cut it for me. Neither did the hyper-sexualization of the female form in other games (*cough*DOA*cough*).
But now, I have found a happy medium.Thank you Bioware for Lady Hawke's boobs!
I know making this statement may alienate me from my fellow girl-gamers, but it had to be said YAY FOR BOOBS!

I just talked with the doctor. He said the horse is dead. He even said that somebody have been kicking it thousands of times long after it died. That is just bizarre.

In this particular thread it has been primarily males who are against the ridiculous size of the female characters breasts, not females.Arttis wrote...

1. Loyal fans/Artsy or Enlightened or Mature gamers who demand a good story and characterization
2. The lowest common denominator who just want BLOOD, GORE & BOOBIES!
You can make money either way but the 2nd method is easier

Not at all. But considering the charecter and her body shape the boobs seem to only be there for the purpose of fanservice. Now if she were heavily built or fat it wouldn't be a problem but she has too much a male fantasy physique right now. It's like if Jack has a huge chest. My post also referred to the presentation changes in ME 2
