It's kinda scary...

It's a thread about breasts. Make any thread about them and you'll get a ton of attention. That's why so many more people care about breast cancer than lung cancer or prostate cancer. Sex sells.

You lot posting pictures of females in armor do realise that they aren't actually real don't you, I mean that isn't actually Queen Elizabeth...

Besides the screen shots we've seen are of Bethany and her mother in cloth dresses not plate armor.

I have just pointed this out but I will do so again. go look up contemporary artwork featuring women in armour from the periods in question. ( Medieval and Renaisaance )

No pronounced boobage in those 'documentations' will be found.

Also try visiting a few historically accurate reenactment festivals, with women wearing historically accurate armor. Again, no pronounced boobage.

You could though, go try out a fantasy LARP'ing event. Where there you may find what you seek. Ie plenty of fetished armour that does not reflect reality.

Thanks. That's exactly what I was going to post. ;)

Idiocy? Again with the insults. Calm down its just a game

Uhm, did I mention any names? Did you feel touched?

In fact, some of the things you have said can be considered insulting, so go figure.

EDIT: And way to go ignoring the rest of the post.

Did i say you mentioned any names? Your need to make use of insults however makes me think you take this a little too serious. Immature, idiocy etc etc. Again. Just a game m8Posted Image

You do realise that the subject isn't even anywhere close to the game anymore right?

I mean, you belong to the camp which has essentially reduced the identity of women to nothing but their boobs, which is frankly insulting.

No i do not see women as walking boobs. Im just tired of all these threads about boob envy. Yeah yeah deny it all you want but the signs are clearly there.

"BOOHOO she has big boobs she must be a pornstar or a **** BOHOOO. "

"Look at this masculine looking woman! she has no boobs and shes wearing armurrr LULULUL" "Totally proves my point LUL"

Quoted for truth.

I'm a woman and I wasn't blessed with huge breasts. I have no problem with video game characters having oversized boobs (clearly for male fan service), but saying woman can be identified as a woman only by the size of her breasts... Well...
 :pinched:

What seriously? Not all the people against gigantic boobs in this thread mentioned "pornstar".

The main argument is that boobs of that size are simply impractical for combat. I mean, it's a whole lot of extra weight that you have to lug around.

wow people are really hating on each other in this thread :o

I don't see how a style decision like this can be such a huge deal to people either way. I mean of all the things to get all "realistic" about in a world full of dragons and magic and crap like that

No one said its THE ONLY WAY.
It is simply the easiest.
Face and hair is not a good way as many men look very feminine.

Referring to actual artwork from the medieval and renaissance periods of women in armour also makes the point clearly. Ie, no armour shaped and moulded like massive cleavage to be seen anywhere.

Ergo, many of these people simply want to see boobage for its own sake and for the rise it gives them..

Erm how many women actually wore armor in the medieval and renaissance period?

Also an artist in thos periods would paint the subject in a way that was fashionable at the time.

Posted Image

In this painting we can see Anne Boleyn wearing a low cut top, if she had anything over a B cup we would see cleavage but the artist has painted her as having no breast what so ever.

You have not done your research very well. Try here, for starters.

Woemn did wear armor. That's a fact.

I am sure some women did.
It was too costly for a smith who works mainly on men to learn adn experiment making a female specific armor.
After all the battlefield where the men were needed the armor the most.

If Dragon Age 2 has bars full of busty wenches that is fine but I wish they would not impose the indignity of making the female main character look like Red Sonja. I mean compare FemShep and the PC from DAO, the chicks from Jade Empire and KOTOR

Also, to all women comfortable with their large breasts. Good for you but you don't spend your day trekking for miles or partaking in close combat with demonic hordes. You know, the problem would be less so if FemHawke was an archer, I have seen well endowed Olympic level archers so there isn't a realism problem. But as a warrior it doesn't make sense.

Even if you were born busty, the sheer physical exertion and training required would give you musculature to match yet we don't even get that here. It's pure Fanservice

Observe the power of haircut and makeup.

http://www.visualsta...ials/MillaA.jpg

http://stars.ign.com...?page=mediaFull

These are things you as a player can costumize as you see fit on your own character.
But I for one like the females even though they are wearing a armor and helmet, to look female. So shape the armor around the boobs and such.

edit. How do I post pictures?

You have a point, however his point was to say that women in armour existed.

There may not be a whole lot of them compared to men, but it's not a completely alien idea.

This is actually a good constructed post for a change.
Instead of just going on about pornstars or obvious biased boob envy.

I believe the main reason for no boob armor which for some women would have helpped immensly,Generally were not wearing the armor for battle and if they were...there was no time for custome made armor and if it broke it would be harder to repair.
Armor is for fighting.
Or as symbols.
