Yeah, if a woman is upset because someone compares her to a pornstar she must be over sensitive, regardless of the connotations of that word.

Ridiculous, the person picked one instance within a context and you are widening that to global proportions.

I can say the following:  'Women that dress with knee high boots, large breasts and twirling on poles are probably strippers.'

You say, all women that wear knee high boots are being called strippers.  All women with large breasts are being called strippers.  all women that twirl from apole are strippers.  Thus I've just called all of the above strippers and they should be highly offended.

Far from all strippers where knee high boots or has large breast.

I think in the character creation screen you should be able to choose your breast size as a female, I mean seriously that would total all of your complaints about huge waists/large breasts and everyone would be happy

Really?, I may be somewhat jaded by these forums but I have difficulty seeing a day where that would be the case, it would be helpful though.

I think it should be not about size, but about the portrayal of size. If breasts are larger, they are more often than not sagging slightly. It's the defying gravity part that gets me. It's also the idea that if you are a certain build, your breasts "must" be a certain size.

Unfortunately for a lot of women, you are either too skinny or too big no matter what you do. I hear the phrase "real women are size 14+" (Australian sizing) If that's the case my friend who is a size 10, is a short gal, has a petite build (is not over or under weight), must "not" be a "real" woman. In an attempt to make over sized women feel better about their natural curves we are starting to deny naturally petite women their femininity. Women should just worry about being healthy and not a certain body type. This, however, is a mentality I apply to real life and not to games, or any entertainment medium for that matter. I'm not offended by the representation of women in games, because I can recognise that allot of the time it's an "ideal" that is being represented. I can play DOA2, watch breasts bouncing across the screen and not start screaming"OMG women are being over-sexualised again, better call the Femsquad!"

However, if they do end up striving to represent women in games in a more natural way, I don't think every chic must then have the perfect "C-cup". Give us boobs... any boobs! Just remember, big boobs + gravity! Little boobs - complex self image issues and inferiority complexes = win.

Now this can actually add to story and characters. Imagine Hawke arguing with her sister about who's boobs look better.

Bethany probably sustain forcefield spell on her boobs. This would explain great many things.

Maybe the boobs are magical and can transform.

SEDUCE/NORMAL Mode: EE Cup

They endow Bethany with the most powerful spell in the game: a level 10 'cleavage of crushing.'  :wizard:

Ha it's funny you should say that seeing as Feminism is all about freedom for women yet you're the one complaining that she doesn't conform to your idea of what a woman should look like.

Are women only allowed to be heroric leads in a story if they're of a althetic body type? why can't we just accept women aren't all the same?

I thought of something interesting. Bioware never do this but they could have made a Female PC who is well endowed but also muscular. Kind of tomboyish and fears that she's not feminine enough. Your LI (say Alistair type) encourages you to wear dresses and maybe gives you a few tips for formal occasions but other may not bother.

Basically, you PC should have a character arc of his/her own

I personally would want a thicker body with increased bust size, it's unrealistic and unattractive (in my opinion) to see something like the current default female body, which is far too skinny to support such huge breasts.  I don't want to feel like a fool while playing a fantasy game where I'm supposed to be a heroine.  Plain and simple.

The boobs stay. That's what it will be. They aren't going to change something that, um...important, this late in development.

I doubt there's only one body type in the game - male or female. A few adjustments shouldn't require new armor models. If every woman parades around with gigantic breasts that is going to look silly... More variety.

It's odd that you can create almost any face imaginable - the number of sliders is daunting in fact - but your physique is set in stone.

Sure, this will do. But only if "STFU" is indeed friendly.<3

But you see, boob threads just keep coming. The only way to stop them is to release official screenshot of female Hawke where you can see the boobs clearly and discuss them basing your arguments on facts rather than on unreliable suggestions "wink, wink".

*IF* a dev confirms that there are no plans to change the female body shape to something more realistic, that's just one more reason for me to wait until a toolset is released before buying this game, or else waiting a year or two for it to drop significantly in price, or (gasp) not buy it at all.  I've already seen plenty of warnings that this isn't the type of game I'd like anymore, that would just be a small but significant sign that I'm right.

You'd refuse to buy the game over *this* ?

Sucks to be you then I guess, my god some people really know how to blow things out of proportion.

Hilarious.

In part this may be because of the issue with texture mapping default 'clothes' onto the body shapes.  But it shouldn't be that much of a problem to workaround.

In an ideal world we'd get a mixture of bodies present in the game. As it is it does seem somewhat odd (although perhaps not from a typical marketing perspective, true or not) that Bioware have chosen to use such a big busted and otherwise proportioned body as the primary model for all women in the game.

Still, maybe there is time for them to alter it somewhat. I definitely tend to find my heroines more believable in this context with less exaggerated proportions. *shrug*
