Because any guy who doesn't want his intelligence insulted by BioWare waving boobies in front of their face and telling them that "Look, here they are, go buy this game!", or wants to see a size proportionate to her body, and still wants fan service, or even just likes a smaller cup size, or just a figure that doesn't look astronomically unreasonable, must be this sort of white knight protecting wimminz.

And, me, opening that gay thread and actively keeping it open and troll-free, that's me wanting to get into the pants of all those gay guys, right? Has nothing to do with an issue I find worthy?

I'm sure someone prude will just make a mod to reduce all females breast sizes. But that doesn't help the console users. Me on the other hand? I just don't see the problem :\\\\ Am I The only one that just looks past these breasts and would just rather the play the game?

But, playing as a woman, and seeing that character model, I think several things: Ouch, she must have back problems; oh good lord, swinging a sword around those things must be tough; why doesn't she tuck them in so they at least don't bounce around all over the battlefield and hurt?

How can she stand long periods of running and lifting heavy things? Why the hell was my female model given such idealistically unrealistic proportions to please some guys? Couldn't they have had their eyecandy a la Morrigan-figures, or Miranda-figures? Why does my female avatar have to be that way just please some guys--don't BioWare games sell on story, not gigantic melons?

It hurts my--and a lot of girls'--play experience, not to mention a constant reminder that your avatar has been sacrificed so that guys can get an eyeful, which, in itself, seems awfully bitter to girl gamers.

It's immature to think it's silly for pretty much every female character up to this point to be busting basketballs with size 2 waist?

No I'm saying it's Immature to be staring at the rack and then to notice how huge it is. Thats not the point of the game.
I guess I can agree with my fellow females here and say... yes it's to big. But like I said, you don't like them ignore them.

But Bioware clearly has other plans otherwise they would have made the female PC more buff going with the whole Dark & Gritty business they have been harping about. Clearly they know sex sells and are attempting to use it to the best of their efforts

At this point the game is still early in development. People can suggest whatever they want.

Yes I know what you mean, it's unrealistic for women to have a huge
bust and be saving the world.  But come on :\\\\ This game isn't real.
Dragons, Griffons, Darkspawn,Qunari, elves and magic...there not real.
And lets face it as long as there's men designing the charecters Women Char's will always have that "sexy" image.
This is why Most of my charecters are Male. I can't Play a female. Just because of the reactions you get from others.

Absolutely not! That's fine, that's completely fine. Bethany's model, if used sparingly, is alright. I mean, it's still unreasonable, but at least it's not everywhere. But, we've seen the mom, and I got a pretty good comparison shot of Hawke and Bethany, and it looks like that's the model for all women, which is what I'm contesting.

I'd have no problem with breasts that big if they came with a different figure to accompany them. Think Christina Hendricks or Crystal Renn. THAT would be exploring different beauty standards.

Likewise. One of the reasons I find it so hard to even become interested in games after looking at their marketing campaign is I feel someone is talking down to me. This is especially true of any game 'for men' like Gears or Modern Warfare. (loved the first. good pacing and an interesting story. Now it feels like they let Tom Clancey get a hold of it. I hate Tom Clancey. Modern Warfare: Black Ops pfft <_<)

the very concept of Fan service is a joke, it's not meant to be taken seriously. Bioware does not talk to you like an idiot when they create such content, and they dont expect you to be immedeatly won over due to the only reason of being attracted by kick ass eye candy. It's just a fun joke that adds flavour to the game
