I'm saying larger breasts aren't practical or plausible for a warrior, and their presense can suggest that this character might be a Mary Sue.
It is also not plausible to flip over enemies mid-combat (rogue ability for DA:2) or for a character to jump while wearing massive armors in Origins. Does that make the PCs in DA:O and DA:2 mary sues?

I just cannot grasp why it bothers people so much that others don't want their characters (who are fighters) to have muscles and not look like they stepped out of Playboy. They can still be idealized, but can we have a different ideal that isn't from the ******-book of a 15 year old boy?
Don't you know, Yuki? We're spoiling all their fun and stealing their candy while we're at it. We are anti-fun(bags).<--couldn't resist.

Saibh has provided three images, of similar sizes, in remarkably similar positions. You have provided three images, of varying sizes, in remarkably different positions.
Even still, proportionally, the type of body to which you would have to compare such a bust size would have to be something like this:

I was parodying Glenn Beck at the time. One of my better performances.

Like I said, it seems DA2 in general is taking a departure from realism. (or going in that direction at least)

So you're basically saying, its OK for a fantasy to depict Men as large and as shredded as a champion bodybuilder despite the fact that in medival times, there wasn't proper nutrition nor the necessary drugs to stay and getTHAT shredded and at the same time big along.
But how is this "shredded"?
Concept Art:
Ingame:
Yes, look at concept art that does not display muscularity and then subsequently post a screenshot of him wearing an armor(No wonder competitive bodybuilders DONT wear clothes during a competition).
Firstly, the bodybuilder on the right(yes, i DO know who he is) sports 18-19 inch arms, secondly look at the "arm to head" ratio and compare that to hawkes, yes, like it or not, hawke DOES have massive arms.(The size is there, but the measurements are approximates)
Very releastic to have 18-19 inch arms in a medival setting where proper nutrition for bodybuilding doesnt exist eh? Along with having a very symmetrical physique that shows very good muscle seperation.![]()
Yes, its releastic for men like hawke to sport 18 inch arms and subsuquently display great symmetry and muscle seperation where proper bodybuilding nutrition doesn't exist in such times.
I just had a somehat strange thought from looking at that picture of MHawke when compared to the one from the demo screen shot. Is it possible that they could be attempting something along the lines of Fable 2 in that your class helps to determine your appearance? The top photo is the beginnings of Hawke's story, the bottom comes from some unknown point, and he clearly looks older and more ripped. Perhaps, being a warrior gives you a more muscled physique as you progress, a rogue could be lithe and slimmer with leaner muscles, and a mage could be a bit softer...hmm.

And a female Mage would have giant boobs, a female rogue would have a slender figure, while a female warrior would have a lean and cut body

While this is an interesting observation, it appears as if the "normal" Hawke is using a two-handed sword, meaning he is more than likely a warrior.Deathispink wrote...

Now why on earth do people think that Bioware needs to put in large breasts in order to make good game sales? Why not average sized breasts proportionate to the body? I highly doubt many people are going to complain that a C cup is too small.
Women do play this game, too. Many of us dislike the Pamela Anderson standard for every female character. In fact, many men do, too.
Well, I myself don't think BioWare needs to do that. I'm simply saying I wouldn't be surprised if BioWare, being commercial and all, went along with it.

Which is why i told you to look at the "arm to head" ratio. Notice how wide the bodybuilders biceps are when compared to his head? Notice how it applies to Hawke as well? Notice how BOTH these guys display muscle sepration and muscle thickness?Maverick827 wrote...

What I've been trying to say, and maybe I just haven't been saying it well enough, is that I want her physique to match the lifestyle she chose. Since Hawke actively takes part in combat, I'd expect her to be well muscled with average sized breasts. If her character model is slender with large breasts, it feels like she shouldn't even be able to lift a weapon. When she IS able to lift a weapon and do all those fancy flips and charges and still have that model body, I start to think she just has that body for the sake of eyecandy, and that's when I see that there was no tradeoff.

Maybe because the story is told from Varric's point of view, and he exaggerates a little.

The above pictures are pictures of Hawke when they were more working out the kinks, you can see this when you compare both the models from exaggerated footage and such (also you can compare Bethany, her breast size was average in those screenies). Both pictures come from the start of the game itself (same demo).

A mage PC will NOT lack for exercise. Neither would any mage that happened to be traveling with you.
And, there's no reason to assume Hawke lived a sedentary lifestyle even before the adventure.
