No, only the items (minus most DLC stuff) on your character and in your inventory will transfer.

You do get a new chest, but it will be empty.

So would it be wise to sell all my DLC stuff before i complete DAO?

Selling items is a good idea as money does transfer over (and you'll need plenty of it in Awakening). There will be lots of good items available. It is also a good idea to bring some high-end runes with you (crafting them is possible but tedious).

Items from Return to Ostagar and Stone Prisoner transfer. Items from Warden's Keep don't. Leliana's Song has an Awakening version of her specialty item. Some of the promotional DLC transfers, and some doesn't. There is an Awakening version of Bulwark of the True King, Pearl of the Anointed, Bregan's Bow, Blightblood and Golem's Might. I've also had The Edge, Embri's Many Pockets, Amulet of the War Mage, Helm of the Deep, and The Wicked Oath transfer in even though there is no specific Awakening version of these items. Just as a note, Awakening versions of specialty items have higher stats to complement the higher level character.

NOES! I love my Kryptonian Sword! Starfang is awesome!

*weeps*

But now when I do my City-Elf Rogue's Awakening run I now know what to sell and what to have stashed in inventory. Ooh does the Blood Dragon Armor cross over?

Thanx for that quick bit of info, now with this new patch I can finally start Awakenings! and thank Bioware for that. Finally.

Just a few more things; the abilities from warden's keep dont transfer either?  So by disabling it to play awakenings this bug I hear about the sentinel armor and the vigilance sword can be avoided right?

But what if I sold Warden's armor and starfang before importing and left WK activated? Can I still keep my abilities and avoid the texture problem? I just wish we could keep those abilities, I can't imagine my rogue moving slow again, too slow. thanx in advance
