Since I think that this forum is the best place for this thread, I'll place it here...
Will we ever be enabled to purchase stuff from the Bioware Store through a bank transfer?
I don't have a credit card and I certainly do not trust PayPal. And I don't feel like getting a credit card.... or, at least, not yet.
There are many services - both international and national. One of them, for example, is iDeal, which is a Dutch system that allows bank transfers from Dutch banks.
Another way is through BioWare itself. There's another game that handles this system, and it works flawless.
A question regarding the payment methods

Try buying a VISA gift card that covers the amount you want to spend. You'd then have to go online with that number and register your name and address to use it online, but then you could use it as a credit card in your name at the Bioware Store. I know they have them in the US, so I'm assuming you might have something similar in your own country.

PayPal has some bad reputation in Germany, because of bad reports in magazines or on tv. It's considered to be a security hole, and that customers have a big problem if something is wrong on the seller's side (e.g. getting money back). Most of the time, it's eBay customers having fallen for a fraud.
But... I've been using PayPal for ten years, seven of them with added bank withdrawal, and so far, most things were okay. *knocks on wood - aka her head - three times* I'd give it at least a try.
edit: MY head and I'm a she. I wouldn't knock on someone else's head, it's painful for some.

I just don't trust PayPal. I'm very cautious when it comes to buying stuff online.
But perhaps... you're right. I might give it a shot, as long as I don't need a credit card for payment - even when having linked my bank account to PayPal.
And, uhh, I'm a he, not a she.
