On another thread at the DA 2 forums a member pointed out I could buy an box set at Amazon.com, but does anyone know if it ships to Europe?
And if they do not, do any of my fellow Dutchmen know if it is available in other shops or websites?
Well I have only looked on the website of the store where I ussually buy my games and I could not find it.Humanoid_Taifun wrote...
I've seen it in stores just recently (Germany). Are you sure you can't purchase the game locally?
It's confusing yes... Also I never used Mods before. When I saw the trailer for Dragon Age: Origins the first time my PC started to reset witout reason sometimes, and after a while it didn't want to start up anymore. So I decided to buy it for my PS3.Humanoid_Taifun wrote...
No you don't need to have played it. But it definitely enriches the experience.
Baldur's Gate I is a difficult game to get into (even more so than the second part), so there are people who suggest trying it after the second part (though that means that you're spoilered in regards to the story, of course) because this way you can learn to appreciate the slower pace and the controls. Even if you don't do that, you should use a mod to play BG1 in the BG2 engine, BGT (trilogy) or BG Tutu ("to two"). (actually, using these mods it makes a lot of sense to start with BG1 anyways)
Now that advice didn't make a lot of sense... I live to confuse.

Is there maybe a website that explains about mods and how to use them?

I am going to a store where they sell secondhand games as well.
So, I hope BG 1 or BG 2 or even better both are for sale.
And even if it was, I prefer the original language of a movie, game or book when I can understand the language.Son of Imoen wrote...
Yes, it would. There is no Dutch version of BG. What's on sale here, if it is, is the UK-version, AFAIK.

Otherwise there is a chance something gets lost in the translation.
Does it ad a lot to the story? Because if it does, and I have the money, I'll buy it.Cirexius wrote...
Don't forget to pick up Throne of Bhaal if you can, it adds some cool features to BG2.
