When I started to play it up and then bounce off a black screen then it says ( mass effect 2 has stop working )

i need help with this problem

I have the same problem as well, my screen is all black except for the orange/yellow pointer mouse thingy.

I'm guessing that my video card is outdated, but here is a picture from my Configuration thingy:




But I looked on a Graphics Card hierarchy chart, and it says that my Radeon X800 GTO better than a X1600 Pro.

I also checked the box of my Radeon X800 GTO, and it says that it DOES have 258 MB.

After I press the play button, a window like this pops up:




If anyone can point me to what i should look at/where i should look, I would appreciate it.

Any help will be welcomed, thanks!

The second (attempted Hijack) message is from a person with an out of date old video card, which may also be the case for the OP, who didn't want an answer very badly after all.
