raloi! they have been discussed alot in cerberus news latley so maybe this would be the first step to introduce the new species by making one of the raloi the shadow broker

While this would be awesome if true I suspect otherwise. The Raloi are newly discovered, yes? The SB has been around alot longer.

but based on the councils current actions maybe the council covers the race up in order to understand there part

Maybe. I love your Iidea of it being a Raloi, and I sincerly hope you're right.

I'm guessing it's a reaper, but operating from dark space, like harbinger controlled the collectors from dark space.

EDIT: and think about it, this is the first DLC to bridge the gap between ME2 and ME3.

ME1 was about reapers, ME2 is about reapers and ME3 will be about reapers, so my guess is if they want to bridge the gap properly then this will be about reapers, just a guess though.

Or it could be Blasto, the first Hanar spectre, lol.

#1 An salarian (If the shadow broker is the type of thing where they pass down the title etc..)

#2 An Asari (probably an Asari matriarch by how long the shadow broker has been away or if not a matriarch an Asari with some kind of status like Spectre)

#3 a drell (Not feron)

and just because the hell of it because I'm bored

#5 Conrad Verner (Yes he can die but that was just all apart of his evil plan....)

In response to the OP, you don't have the last code. I have currently have 2 codes that I've been holding. And there are a lot of them on eBay.

Secondly, I don't think you've thought this sweepstakes out very well. How are you going to handle a situation where some people post the exact same theory?

Wow, this is a tough one.

Uh...

Hmm...

To be honest, I just don't know.  I can't really make any wild enough guess.  I will say that I bet it's someone we will recognize, or specifically, someone that Liara recognizes, just for the shock factor.  Infact, I think it might be someone working directly for the reapers (not just with them), this seems likely if this DLC is to begin tying ME2 into ME3.

I'm sure I wouldn't win this, but if for some reason I did, please don't give me the code.  I have both items and do not need them.

Wow, i thought my idea was good, but yours really makes sense.  It would be like hoe Saren worked for Sovereign, and the collectors for Harbinger.

a new character/group who we havent heard of yet and is responsible for all the mysterious dark energy stuff that people keep repeating at ME2, also I believe the reapers true purpose is to protect the galaxy from this dark energy stuff and therefor, shadow broker & reapers are enemys, possible a AI

If the Shadow Broker is one person, that person will not be a human. Humans have not been around long enough on the galactic stage. However, if the Shadow Broker is, in fact, a group of people, a la the Illuminati, then it is plausible a human may have worked their way into the group by now. It would make sense the council races are represented within the Shadow Broker group in some way.

I personally believe the Shadow Broker will be one person though (or a group with a 'leader'). My money is currently on it being Liara's father, simply because it will have masses more emotional impact on the story, and the resulting 'soul searching' will throw up some big decisions that have to be made at the end of the DLC missions.

Either a Reaper or the last prothean kept artifically alive.

I have other theories, but I'll stick with them.

I think it would be a group, led either by ther bartender on ilium (forgotten her name). the ilusive man, one of your former crew (not necceseraly a named one) or one of liara's old friends.

or me =)

I don't know why people keep saying it's TiM. Use your brains, people. He was pitted directly against the Shadow Broker over the fight for Shep's body. Ditto for a Reaper (unless it was a rogue Reaper, but I just can't see it happening).

Just to reiterate as to why I believe Mr. Thax is a serious dark horse - there are several reasons:

(For those who don't remember... you met one of his polite Krogan representatives on Illium during Samara's recruitment mission):

1. Mr. Thax like Nasana Dantius is one the most powerful business interests on Illium (where the Shadow Broker's lair is).

2. If the Shadow Broker is an individual who has been around for centuries he is either a Krogan or an Asari (too obvious).

3. The fact that his assistant is uncharacteristicly well mannered for a Krogan was very odd and felt forbodingly conviently placed as if it was a hint.
