In an attempt to clear my bgtutu of all the different mod i decided to uninstall everything bg1 and b2 to reinstall. So i did. It somehow bugged and then i uninstalled them via window -> control panel -> programs. Seemed to have been uninstalled correctly so i went ahead and tried to install bg1. The box with "install" "viewme" "trailer" and something else appear and i click install then bam nothing happen at all. Try for bg2 and it does the same.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled bg1/bg2 tob several time and such thing never happened. Im on windows xp.

That happened to me just recently. I managed to solved the plroblem though. What you have to do is restart your computer (with disk 1 still in the drive) and the second windows is open on your screen again open windows explorer go into your CD drive and run the autorun (or maybe it was setup) program. That worked for me, I think it was because other background programs were interfering with the instalation once they started running.
