Just a simple question & answer thread about who prefers what characters in their parties when playing DA:O.

Leading off,  I would say the the characters I use most are Leliana, Allistair, Wynne, Oghren & Morrigan.

My least used party members are Shale, Zevran, Sten & Dog.

Oghren is moving up a bit, since my current Origins game has him in the party, but he was only used before because you were forced to do so at a specific point. Otherwise, he'd be tied with Dog.



Most are Leliana, Allistair, Morrigan. The rest are evenly spaced in the middle of the pack.

Depend on which origins Im playing, so:

Dalish Elf: most-Sten, Dog, Zevran or Oghren (well sometimes Zevran didn't survive his ambush)

least: all human companions

Noble, Human: most: Alistair ( if I don't play as a warrior), Leliana. Dog, Wynne,

least: Morrigan, Zevran

City Elf: most-Sten, Oghren, Dog

least: Alistair, Morrigan

I think on my only complete playthrough I did almost everything with Shale and Wynne, varying my third pair of hands to either Sten, Oghren or Leliana.

Morrigan was religated to making potions, Zev to... erm... changing my oil, and Dog to biting Alistair (hopefully fatally). Zev and Morrigan were definately the pair I used the least.

Was hole game on camp: Dog, Morrigan and Oghren (unless forced by story).
I let these to die: Sten,  Zevran and Loghain

Most: Leliana, Morrigan, Sten and Wynne in more or less equal measure. Shale is a close runner-up.



Least: Zevran and Alistair. Who knows, they might find something they have in common.

For my Rogue Human Noble character:

Most: Morrigan, Leliana, Shale.

Least: Zevran, Wynne, Dog.


For my Human Mage:

Most: Oghren, Leliana/Zevran, Morrigan.

Least: Alistair, Wynne.

For Human Noble Warrior:



Most: Morrigan, Wynne, Alistair... Leliana comes along to open all the lockboxes of a place after I've cleared it up.



Least: Zevran, Sten, Dog

I am using a mod lately that adds dog for free... less because of the difficulty (actually not all because of this), but I think 4 party members alone are boring and I wouldn't use him without that option (nearly no lines at all).



So without that mod:

Least: Dog, followed by Zevran



Most: Morrigan, Alistair, Sten

Zevran and shale I use least only don't use shale because she too op and zevran never been a use to me.

Rest I use if needed.

Least used..hmm..Oghren because I always seem to do Orzammar the last (I hate deep roads), Wynne, since I only use her against the high dragon and Zevran since my main is a rogue.



Most used are Sten as a big hitter, Alistar as a tank then replaced by Shale to avoid his annoying moaning and Morrigan as a Spirit healer + controler.



When playing a mage I simply swap Sten for Zevran or Leliana for lockpicking and traps.

Mage Warden - Most used: Leliana, Alistair; Least used: Zevran

Rogue Warden - Most used: Wynne, Morrigan; Least used: Zevran

It is pretty much: Alistair, Leliana, Morrigan. Next up would be Wynne as backup mage



I never use Zevran because he is almost a carbon copy of my character (DW rogue assassin). I also never use dog and Sten.
