Most: Wynne, Alistair and Leiliana.



Depends, of course. Later in a game, if I'm a warrior I'll tend to ditch Alistair. And if I'm a mage I won't take Wynne (mages are so OP that two mages makes the game too easy.) Really varies by character though, my one sword and board virtually never uses Alistair, for obvious reasons.



Least: Morrigan (I don't like her and in any cases, I don't run with two mages. She's a potion bot), Shale (OP), Oghren (I like Sten better)



I often struggle to get Zevran in, but he amuses me so I do it anyway. And I'm fond of Dog, especially if playing a noble, so I try and bring him along

I brought Sten along on the harder fights, to use the Quanri Prayers for the Dead. He actually got the killing blow on Gaxkang. XD



But least used? I felt like this playthrough I used Leliana the least. Which is surprising, since I usually use her the most in other playthroughs. Although it's a mix up between Oghren/Dog/Wynne/Zevran after that, but eh I used Oghren and Wynne for their plot events, Dog for Ostagar, and Zevran during the whole alienage scandel. Can't remember using Leliana for squat... D:

Every time I play I use Alistair, Morrigan and Leliana. I really want to give Sten and Oghren a shot, but it never works out. I always need a rogue and a mage, and Alistair is extremely plot relevant so I can't seem to leave him behind. I always play tanks too (Arcane Warrior, S/S Warrior and now 2H Warrior) so Alistair never even gets to stick with what he's best at. I'm having him dual-wield this time around.

Alistair is probably my most used overall.

Leli gets about as much usage if I'm not a rogue myself.

Oghren, and especially Sten, I pretty much never use.

Most is probably Alistair or Oghren

Least is Shale and Wynne (have never used either of them in my main party for any playthrough)



I like Shale I've just never put her in my party except once or twice to see her dialogue with Caridin and to do her mission. Wynne I've just never felt like putting her in my party. Dog would be one of my least used as well but in my first playthrough he was in my party for the whole game because I just felt that the starting party (Alistair, Morrigan, and Dog) was perfect.

Alistar, Wynne, Lel - mage build chars (back than i enjoyed  Wynne understanding her as a tutor for my young warden which sometimes lacked proper knowledge about humans, magic, or neaded a wise councelor at his/her side).

Back than never played: dog, sten, oghren (as long hes not mandatory), zev

x playthroughs later, after the first 6 playthroughts i moved with the game to the PC (on nightmare)
alistar/shale(especially vs dragons with specific crystal setup), dog (love his stun, charge and overwhelm in combination with a rogue!), mori + rogue cun builds
ali, lel, mori for mage builds

Never using Zev (if i need a rogue backstabber i respec lel), Sten (until he actually does something the opponents are usually dead already + he goes on my nerves (i would have actually enjoyed the option to kill him when he challenges your leadership (AFAIR you dont have that))
nowdays always killing Wynne. (she annoys me, nerver listening, always ranting, spreading chantry and circle nonsense. The gauntlet Guardian is exactly right about her. btw, mori + heal + spirit healer is enough to cope with every situation given the fact that you can also rely on potions.

Depends on what class i'm use'n, otherwise i always swap around team mates so no particular faves(beyond personal favs), whenever i have team selections i always mix em up every mission (i'm terrible with that with valkyria chronicles)



Rogue wardens: i'll rarely ever use Leliana or Zevran



Mage wardens: i'll rarely use morrigan (wynne is useful still for covering healing duties)



Warrior wardens: Sten usually gets sidelned the most between the warriors

I find myself using Morrigan and Alistair more than any others i just find them the most useful to have around.



Least used would be Sten and Dog who i never used once after Lothering in any of my playthroughs

Leliana - The rest I do switch out fairly regularly but Leli is in 95% of the time because I never play rogues and don't like Zev. Plus she is the best character IMO.

Zevran - The longest he has ever been in my party is the short battle against the crows in Denerim where he is forced into your party if you don't kill him. Everyone else I do at least use occasionally.

The rest I rotate depending on what conversation I want to hear. I've never actually used Sten except in Lothering. He bugs me. This time I'm a mage, so Morrigan and Wynne are shooting hate looks at each other across camp most of the time.



It's not that I have so much play experience, though. This is only my second playthrough. My first was a warrior who used Alistair, Leli and Morrigan with healing added almost the entire game. There was a lot of teeth gnashing when I had to leave one of them behind to accommodate Oghren. That ended up alright as he seemed to know the best bartenders in town.

Similar to most, really. Alistair, Wynne and either Zevran or Leliana take spots in most cases, either because I adore their characters or the fill an indispensable role. Or, y'know, both.

Shale tends to get very little clobbering time, aside from taking her with me when I go deep roads spelunking. Convenient RP reasons, and all that.

Sten only comes out when I need him to intimidate Faryn.
