Hey guys. Is it possible to increase the running or movement speed in Mass Effect 2? The only method I have of doing so now is by using the SlowMo command which acts as a global game changing variable and increases the speed of the ENTIRE game - people talking, 3rd party dialouge happening around the general area, and the animations of just about everything are multiplied which isn't the result I was looking to change.

In Mass Effect 1 it was possible to use the MoveForwardSpeed or SetRunSpeed commands to change the run speed very easily, unfortuntely that doesn't seem to work anymore - I'm editing the Coalesced.ini file with Ruby and rebuilding it with ME2Coalesced.Editor.v1.0.0.32B to work with the game, but the commands don't work. Nothing changes when I press the keys I've bound the commands to. Every other command I've added into my Coalesced.ini does work though - such as initcredits, setparagon, FOV, givesupergun, ETC, so I know I'm properly editing and saving the Coalesced.ini file.

Besides trying out MoveForwardSpeed or SetRunSpeed at 9999, I also tried the SuperSpeed command which used to work in Mass Effect 1 but that also doesn't change anything. When I press the key I've bound SuperSpeed to, nothing changes. I've tried all 3 of these tweaks on multiple worlds, across different saved games, reloading and visting new places and trying over and over to press the bound keys and seeing if Shepard runs any faster but she doesn't :(

I've read that the Terminus Armor and Inferno Armor carry with them a bonus to running speed - so there must be some variable within the game engine that changes the movement speed. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible for the armors to modify the running speed, right? Do you think this variable was added in to the game engine only after the armor packs are downloaded and installed, or was this variable available from the beginning? I searched all over the internet and forum boards for a few days, reading countless threads before posting.

Thank you all very much and I hope you have a wonderful day!

Yes, you can: read this page and you'll see how you can edit a few values to, say, 1.1 of base value and move faster: http://social.biowar...ndex/2338026/70

Is there a reason why you modders don't just ask in the established modding thread?
