Uh huh, you go on and cling to your idea that RPGs must consist of long and tedious areas. Those are the key words, they're not emersive or challenging, they're just fluff.
They don't add much to the story by being long and pointless, and they don't even consist of much difficulty, just mainly dragged out length. So what part of that screams RPG to you? If that's what RPGs are supposed to be, then RPGs are pretty much doomed to fail.
Not everyone finds them long and tedious, was the point. Exploring and combat are far more enjoyable to me than sitting through scripted dialogues.
Then Bioware games are not for you. Bathesda is that way ------>
Thankfully, I can enjoy both, as the saturday morning cartoon quality story arcs in Bioware games are skippable.
