1% is barley anything. the 1 skill point you get though is very useful.

I think in this game your gonna level up every 2-8 hours.I think your gonna do a big equipment change every 5 levels and small bits every 1-3 levels.

Yeah, the rings you will get on char creation probably last for 2 hours at max. After that you'll find better, e.g. less general stuff. I'd rather pump one resistance by 25% then 5 by 5%. Anyway. We'll see when the game's released.

So as soon as the game starts I don't get to don my new Blood Dragon Armor? What level do you have to reach to get that?

I think you're overestimating the effect that 1% has. Even on a linear experience progression, 1% extra experience is only going to give you an extra level roughly 20% of the time at the levels you're expected to finish the game at.

I think you missed my point... which is that if it's NOT useful enough to be unbalancing, which I would agree it probably isn't, there's no point downloading it at all.

I started a thread not knowing that this one was around on the same topic. I'll carry on here.

I'm of the opinion, if it doesn't have all that much impact why bother investing the time/money for them? If it takes next to no time and no money to obtain, then there's no biggie. However, for paid content e.g. further chapters of Dragon Age Journeys potentially, or even the time required to get the Helmet item from the existing Chapter (game completion with the three classes), why bother at all?

Well intend to use any item that is provided through my pre-order of the collectors edition(btw didnt get the collectors because of the items I got it because that's what I've done with just about every Bioware game that's been released), or bonus DLC or unlockables, not using it would be just the same as not using any new weapons or armor in the Shale or Wardens Keep DLC, and hell you get Shale for free. But I just feel like if it's there - it's there for a reason so why waste anything BioWare has created or take it for granted, it's all about how you want to experience the game, afterall we're all paying roughly the same amount for some sweet BioWare entertainment so do as you please and enjoy the freedom of playing how you want to play, kind of thought that was the idea of playing RPGs.

Also some people are die hard fans of some developers, lol I got the latest DLC for Mass Effect and it was nearly pointless in retrospect, but I'm not ill about it, I still enjoyed it, and after all it's BioWare, it's usually an A+ most of the time, but even when it's not I dont mind.

Oh yeah played through Journeys with Warrior, Mage, & Rogue today. The Helm that I unlocked is probably the only thing there worth getting, but lol you have to unlock all the achievements to get it.
Pretty cool game though, the surveys were kind of silly though, how much would you pay to play more of Journeys? I answered max $10 and only if it were downloadable would kind of be stupid to pay for other chapters and then not really even "obtain" a copy of the game itself digital or physical.

But worth a look so I suggest trying it out. If you're a fan of Hex/Turn-Based it's very pick up and play. Speaking of Hex/Turnbased, I really enjoyed Fallout 3, but I wish BioWare or Obsidian would have gotten ahold of the IP from Interplay, instead, it feels too much like "just a shooter".

Some people, like myself, prefer armors that are more aesthetically pleasing, even if it means sacrificing defense.

Not to mention, if the game can be made easier at lower levels with these DLC bonuses, I'm in. We've all read in the reviews how challenging this game can be, so any help would be much help.

I think you guys wont be getting rid of lucky stone for like 10 hours until you find a ring that gives you +3-4 for one stat that you want to improve.

I think they said magical items will be rare.So do not expect to replace all of your armor or even a piece or two every 2-5 hours.*depends on how fast you play*

Yeah I don't think it will be like Mass Effect in which there is a newer and more advanced armor, weapons, mods, and tools, every hour of gameplay(obviously once you can obtain Spectre gear it is hands down all you really need for the duration and however many play throughs you put your character through). I'm somewhat urked by the fact you wont be able to do multiple playthroughs with the same PC in ME2, but they have their reasons, same goes for this game.

But yeah I'm the same way as Jack Anvil, I typically go for the baddest looking armor that can be had in any game, you could have better stats for combat armor in Fallout 2 but as soon as I got ahold of the Mark II Power Armor from the Enclave, I wouldnt be caught dead in anything else, very badass looking armor.
