Ok,
I feel embarrassed to ask. But how do i kill this thing? I have a Mage, Alistair, a tower guard and a soldier and the ogre just wipes me time and time again.

Well, have alistair try and hold it's attention with taunt or threaten, he should be able to take a beating from it while your party does damage. Move both the tower guard and the soldier behind the ogre for flanking bonuses. If your mage has heal, be sure to use it on alistair when he gets low, otherwise use health pots.
Save your stuns until the ogre picks someone up, and then use them then. This will prevent a lot of damage.

I had Alistair taunt the ogre so he kept aggro, and then cast force field on Alistair so he wouldn't take damage all the time. I also had the guard with the crossbow fight at range. Oh and I think I was able to freeze the ogre, although I don't remember too clearly, could be anything from trying winter's grasp to failing to use cone of cold successfully...
If you don't have skills that will let you control the ogre's aggro as easily, don't feel bad about setting difficulty to easy for this fight. IMO this fight is way too hard and too dependent on your skills for this early in the game.
