Well at the moment since I am on an adept binge (biotic commando for the win! ) I'll only list the loadout I use for that class.

I changed the starting loadout to pistol + AR only (no heavy weapon or smg), with bonus shotgun training.

In general it is a mixture of:

Phalanx/GPS/Mattock
or
Phalanx/Scimitar/Avenger

Shotguns - Evi is too slow for the adept. I love it on the vanguard though. Katana is not my cup of tea, nor claymore. Scimitar in general I'm not a fan of, but it works wery well for the adept at keeping enemies stunned while powers recharge. GPS, well nothing to say here - it is a mini heavy weapon.

Pistols - phalanx is easy to be accurate with; I take it in most situations.

ARs - I don't like the vindicator; I wish you could toggle between burst and full auto - burst in close quarters isn't fun for me. GPR is ok but holsters badly on the back. Collector rifle is fun until the novelty wears off - after one mission. Revenent - ridiculously overpowered; I can get away with spamming heavy barrier and going rambo with this gun on insanity, but it reduces the fun factor. So it's either avenger (I love this gun - goes with the cutscenes, and provides a reasonable challenge when playing), or mattock (which for me makes the carnifex less useful - hence my choice of the phalanx).

Actually, add the scimitar to the first list and that's my preferred Vanguard loadout, while the second is the same for my modded Vanguard

I always carry the cain on my back. Just looks too nice while you talk to people.
Vanguard: Claymore, elbow. no need for other weapons (except the cain of course...)
Sentinel: GPS, locust, predator (used scimitar before the weapon pack)
CQC Infiltrator: GPS, Viper, locust, predator
Sniper Infiltrator: Widow, locust, predator
Soldier: Viper, Mattock, GPS (sometime I take widow or claymore for a change, don't like the revenant...)

id love to roll the revenant and the phalanx. i dont like not being able to use a weapon(playing only the soldier) just because bioware said i cant.



the phalanx works great with cryo ammo ive noticed. the geth pulse shotty is my favorite usable weapon, and im a full on AR type player. that things just awesome.

That thing is ridiculous. It basic shooting it is even more versatile then the Eviscerator with about the same punch, just a tad less, but has a noticeably better fire rate and a bigger clip. Plus it can be charged to be even more damaging then the Claymore. Things devastating. It can do it all.

On my most recent playthroughs:

Soldier - Phalanx/Geth Plasma Shotty/Revenant/Viper (started before the Firepower pack came out, took a break a bit after doing the Collector Ship, then got the FPP when I resumed)

Engineer - Phalanx/Tempest/Mattock (same as Soldier; used Locust until I got AR training)

Infiltrator - Phalanx (seeing a pattern here?)/Locust/Widow



I've done Sentinel, Adept, and Vanguard playthroughs before too, but those were all before getting Kasumi, Firepower, or Aegis, so I can't really offer an informed opinion on any of those. Presumably, I'd pick the same for the first two as I did for my Engie though.

I only use 3 weapons per class so that I can easily switch between them in both directions and without pausing the game or switching to another weapon first. So I edited the coalesced and don't use Heavy Weapons for any class and also got rid of the Heavy Pistol for the soldier.
