Soldier: Widow, Mattock, Phalanx, Geth Shotty, Arc Projector
Vanguard: Claymore, Tempest, Carnifex
Infiltrator: Widow, Tempest, Carnifex
Adept/Engineer: Tempest, Carnifex, Viper

Note: I like the Tempest but in certain missions where there is generally a "long" distance between you & the bad guys the Locust becomes my SMG of choice.

As a Vanguard i take: Geth Plasma Shotgun, Locust, Phalanx, Mattock. Mattock is used most often, then goes the GPS. Locust serves as a backup weapon in case of Out-Of-Ammo situation. Phalanx is for longest ranges.

As a Infiltrator: Widow, Tempest, Predator. Widow is obvious. Tempest is for close-'n'-personal and for ambushing. Predator for Out-Of-Ammo (never happens :-) )
