I'd say somewhere between 27 and 29. Definitely not in her 30's however. To be honest I find it hard to picture any of the LI's as being in their 30's (but especially Alistair and Morrigan).



Btw I still don't think Miranda looks ANYTHING close to 35... I would have pitched her in her late twenties or 30 at max.

Morrigan being in her late 20’s early 30’s some how really bothers me.



With the way she talked about her up bringing, it seemed as if she was 19 maybe 20, and thoughts events had happened not too long form memory. There are also other questions her age would bring up, such as WHY hadn’t Flemath possessed her yet, by 30 you would assume, if she spent even 20 of tough’s years training to be a mage, than she was as ready as she was going to be.



Than we have the question of why wasn’t she in the books. It has been sometime, but I do believe Morrigan is NEVER talked about in the books, and Flemath is involved a fair deal in them, they don’t take place that long before DAO.



I always assumed that she was again 18-20 maybe 22, and probably the youngest of the group.

With Alistair 25-27, Leliana I always believed her past took place when she was in her late teens sounds horrible sure, but look at the time period were working in, 14-15 you WERE and adult, because the average life span wasn’t all that long, anyways I looked at Leliana as about 23.

Zebran 23-25 just because the way he acted, Shale a few hundred years, Wynne 60’s

Dog 6 Sten 40’s Oghren 40s Human Noble Gray Warden Id say 25-28 at the most, and maybe younger than that, he wasn’t married, or doing much of anything, but being a play boy/girl warrior/rouge. (( I think the Noble is the only one who can literally have sex in the first 6 min of the game.))



It would be interesting to have David comment in this thread to see how close we are.

Prior to DA:O's release David Gaider said Morrigan is late 20's to early 30's.

About Morrigan - I always thought she's about 20.

I hope they never reveal the ages because I like the ages I came up for them, remember they can be any age you like as long as you roleplay.

Lets assume that nobles marry around 18-20ish in Ferelden. Cailan has been king and married for 5 years, so I'd guess Alistair is around 25

Morrigan is experienced, wise, and knows how to get what she wants. I'd call her 32ish

Leliana tells Wynne that she looks younger than she really is so I'd say about 35+ considering she had enough time to be trained as a bard, a decade or so from coming of age, being employed by Marjolaine and had enough time to change her identity, plus the two years of her in the Lothering chantry

Wynne is 65 I'd say. Old, yet not old enough to where she looks like a hag

Zevran is generally young I would say, and surely not more than a year or two older than Alistair.

Shale is centuries old

Sten and Oghren both have seen battle throughout their lives, so around 40-45 with Sten being slightly younger than whatever age Oghren is.

Dog is invincible and immortal, I thought that was obvious

The time period is before 50 years have passed in the Dragon Age, where does it say that by 14-15 you are an adult? At 15 I couldn't have a full flowing beard, and in almost all of the origins you are supposedly near the coming of age mark.

Its interesting how we all perceive the characters differently according to our own interpretations. Personally, I think that looking at the character's back story tells you a lot more about their age than their appearance does.

Human Noble Warden: Has completed his training, and is being given his first real adult responsibility, but not enough to be allowed to go into battle with father and elder brother. To me, this suggests that the HN warden could not feasibly be more than about 20 years old at the most., else he would not be being let off the leash for the first time.

Leiliana: Her back story in Orlais suggests that she has lived a colourful life and is "experienced" in the ways of the world. As has been noted, she also states that she is older than she looks. I would surmise that she is between 28-30.

Morrigan: Difficult to tell, but when she is told that she is to leave on the grand quest with the warden, she seems uncertain and even afraid (possibly the only time she shows such vulnerability in the entire game) and says she is not ready. This sounds like a young person who has just been forced to confront a destiny they are not prepared for. My guess would be that in spite of her cynical and jaded demeanor, Morrigan is between 22-25.

Alistair: Was just coming to the end of his Templar training when recruited by Duncan, it seems doubtful that Templar training would continue well into a person's twenties (but maybe Alistair is a slow learner...) Either way, although he looks late twenties, he acts (at least at the start) much younger. If I had to hazard a guess I would put his age (based on background and behaviour) at 22-24.

Wynne: Based on her whole wise grandmotherly shtick seems to be about 55-60. She is not young, but she is not suffering from the effects of age so much that she can't keep up. (other factors, on the other hand, may be slowing her down) .

Sten: Sten appears to be a grizzled veteran of many battles and has a jaded view of the world. I would say he is around the qunari equivalent of 40 (do qunari age as humans do?)

Zevran: Based on his backstory and his dilettante behaviour, I would guess his age to be mid to late twenties.

Oghren: Strikes me as a man having a midilfe crisis, so I am going to suggest that he is in his mid to late thirties (or the dwarf equivalent thereof).

Dog: Given how excitable and playful Dog is, I'm guessing that he is quite young, around 2 years old.

Shale: Really impossible to know for sure. Given that Shale is a golem and therefore immortal (doesn't age) it seems a bit of a moot point.

I firsthand agree with you, though Morrigan may actually be in her late 20s, I seriously doubt she contains the emotional mentality, on various occasions, to justify her age. If Gaider indeed confirmed her age, then that is somewhat a disappointment to me. See, I am a graceful and endearing roleplayer, so I HATE changing concrete lore (which I developed without breaking what canon is true). Changing Morrigan's age to fit Gaider's absolute confirmation is a bit of a track cover.

Anyway, I will go on ahead and list the age list that I have decided to surmise. My friend and I have come up with the following ages at the beginning of the game in our Origins list:

(Please note that I am not aware of all the ages confirmed by Bioware officials)

Warden 1(Human Noble named Bhalgan Cousland) - Age 26, 6 months

Warden 2 (Human Noble named Kaedah Cousland, Bhalgan's adopted brother) - Age 24, 3 months

Warden 3 (Alistair Theirin) - 25 years, perhaps 4 months

Mabari Warhound (named Cyrus) - 8 years 9 months; meaning 56+ dog years

Morrigan (Once thought by me to be 26 years and 2 months) - I would say 28 years, 7 months

Leliana - 29 years, 5 months

Sten - 38 years, 2 or 3 months

Zevran - 42 years, 11 months

Oghren - 34 years, 1 month

Wynne - 65 years, 4 or 5 months

Shale - Estimating hundreds of years old, based on the fighting in Cadash Thaig being done long ago

Loghain - My guess is his late 50s, I would say 58 years to be exact

I have not yet speculated the ages of the companions from Awakening. I shall soon after my first playthrough.

Its possible that Morrigan is older that we think and that due to here isolation in the wilds she is simply poorly socialised and acts in a manner inconsistent with her true age.

cossidering how old her so called mother is she should be about 50 but flemeth is years and years old but morrigan actually looks 25-28 years old
